Missing some turnovers too and you forget the defense that ain't on the boxscore.
Oh, I forgot that Leonard shutdown Matt "automatic" Barnes. I suppoe he's in the same class as CP3. logic 101.

I'll stop. That dude is a clown along with hoop got.

If you only had a basketball thought in that pin head of yours, you might be slightly above total ignorance.

We've discussed this before, and I don't even think it's out of the question, perhaps bringing Tony off the bench... Pop has done it before, IIRC.

Your boy was arguing how the +/- stat was useless, and you bring it up short bus

Too much money going into Parker's bank for the Spurs to unload him but there have been crazier scenarios, maybe Bret Brown will want him and give us Michael Carter Williams, lol.. Enough jokes.. The way it is though Parker should be benched for sure and should take a back seat to Mills too.. The guy just can't string games together consistently.. Looks great against cupcakes and then doesn't have the heart to show up to games where he's matched against another good PG.

Ginobili is 36 years old and on a minutes restriction. Neither Cojo or Patty play well alongside Parker. You'd just end up with no production coming off the bench.

Season numbers. How come Parker isn't in the top half with all the other good players?

Well, Manu would still play his limited minutes. Cojo would basically take a back-seat, he really doesn't play well with either Tony or Manu, unless he's the PG and full-time ball handler... the idea would be to play Tony against lesser compe ion and see if he can get in any kind of offensive rhythm and gives us production out there. Right now he's either taking jumpers, or playing P&R with Tim, that's something Gino can do.

I'd do this. Parker can play with diaw since he likes feeding him the ball.

Same reason no one is... Kawhi is leading the team in FGA's

Parker isn't dead yet and I haven't given up on him! He's settling for more and more jumpers but he has shown the ability to break down defense the last couple of games with his penetration to the rim. The results just aren't there.. He could have easily had double figures in assists tonight and eventhough his shot wasn't falling, it had nothing to do with the Clippers defense. He was in no way, shape or form the reason the Spurs lost tonight's game. I can point to any number of players that played like total . It's way to early to be making those kinds of drastic moves. If Pop does anything, he'd replace Parker with Cojo before he would Ginobili. Afterall, these are just "meaningless" regular season games. Players are "coasting" and still trying to work out the kinks.

Re status confirmed. Nearly every player on the team is a plus this season according to that chart except for Ayres, Kyle, Marco, Daye....and Tony. Four of those guys are scrubs being paid peanuts - makes sense that their impact would be ty. The fifth is the highest paid player on the team. Tony is essentially giving us production worse than most backup point guards while eating a large portion of the salary.

Kawhi is leading the team in FGA's
Kawhi and Parker have the same amount of FGA/game this season. Tony's USG% is higher though which makes your argument irrelevant.

Not sure why anyone is even suggesting the possibility of trading Parker...there's a 0% chance that it will happen. He's earned the benefit of the doubt with the spurs org by taking cheaper contracts throughout his career and never bolting for bigger markets. It's ride or die with TP. He's not playing well right now, but he's a spur for life tbh.

imo, he should be shut down for a few weeks. Maybe the remainder of the RRT. Let the hamstring recover more fully.

I'm good with this. Parker isn't even a role player at this point.

The hammy does not make you dribble dribble or suffer from tunnel vision as a secondary effect, only makes you slower and might affect your layups floaters and teardrops but he is done, never cared to adapt his game to different paces you cant rely on athleticism forever, takes too many dumb shots too.

This is obviously a troll thread tbh but the dude sucks something fierce right now. Not convinced starting patty or cojo wouldn't be the right move. No way in they can play as bad as parker is right now.

Cory outplayed him all season, he should be starting and given a solid summer of developing his 3 ball and getting better with changing speeds he should probably be a shoe in to win the starting spot next season.

He's going to have find a way to reinvent himself this summer. He will have to work really hard to become a great jump shooter because that is the only thing that will keep his career going from this point forward.

He needs to hook up with Andre Miller
