Not going to hate on Tony it is pretty obvious that he is still playing with a bad hammy so he can't do what he does best. As far as trading him not going to happen no way does Pop sign off on it and no way does Timmy sign off on it..

Thompson would be interesting off the bench. I see a lot of cracks in the foundation just because of age, I'm sure RC and Pop have planned for the future but there just seems to be no indication that they'll do anything to bolster the lineup before Duncan/Manu retire.. It'll be a mad scramble when the time comes to fill in the gaps and get young.
Yeah, for Thompson, his contract is the issue. The team needs to save some money to open a max slot, and Collison and the ninth pick already take up a good deal of cap space. The Kings may insist on him (or Landry) being in the deal just to offload some future salary, but I'd be reluctant.
Package Tiago in the deal too to free up cap space.. With the potential of Duncan retiring at the end of this season the front court will need a huge makeover
I have watched the Spurs since David Robinson days, when was the last time Spurs received a top 10 or even top 20 player via free agency and/or trades?
And yeah, Spurs would trade away a member of the big three, the year AFTER they won their sweetest championship ever.
Show a little respect and appreciation. Tony is going to retire as a Spur UNLESS he requests a trade which will never happen.
After Duncan/Manu retire this team is going nowhere and Tony will play out his contract healthy, the same way Dwayne Wade will end his career as a Heat. Both rely on speed, both have seen dramatic declines last a few years, both will have contracts that include appreciation $$$ for the championships they won in the past and so beloved in their cities, that is the way it is.

I tend to agree with El Nanu and Great Yuck at least slightly. I think the Parker cliff jumping is premature tbh. If he can recover healthwise, he's gonna be fine and can beast again. I am personally more concerned about Splitter sucking ass and also the mental effect of Tim's lawsuit and apparent devastating financial loss on Timmy and the team as a whole. If they can get past these rough patches though watch out. Last year's Spurs, if we can find them, would demolish Atlanta 4-1 in the finals.

If we're speaking from an on-court perspective, I'd rather go with Joseph/Mills at PG, going forward, tbh..Collison is one of the most overrated PGs in the NBA IMO..obviously it's a moot point, since there's a 0.0001% chance that the Spurs trade Enrique this year..

We already knew Parker could be easily be held in check if one or both his wheels were busted. He's a one trick pony that needs speed and quickness to be effective. And I agree the guy has been playing like ever since he wrecked his hamstring. I'll reserve judgement on the guy because he is obviously not healthy. I know most of the morons want him gone/traded (same morons that wanted GHill starting over Parker), but the thing is the Spurs won't win if Parker is not playing at his best this year. If Manu and Tim decide to call it quits, I'm all for trading Parker for a pick or a young player. For now he needs to play so he can figure things out, because his play will determine how far this team goes this season.

As we're seeing in Chicago, a high-usage PG that has a game based on athleticism/speed and scoring kills his team when he can no longer play at a high level..Parker and Rose actually have similar numbers, this year, and they're both hurting their respective teams with their cancerous brand of basketball..
People seem to forget why Pop had that patronizing "wired" moment with Parker in last year's playoffs..he was praising him for getting out of the way of the rest of the team

Not sure how much longer you can make this case when we're over half way through the season and none of our best lineups feature Parker, and we've been significantly better when he's been off the court. On/Off splits have our best 5man lineup as Patty, Manu, Kawhi, Boris, Tim.So what do you suggest...starting Cojo or Mills the rest of the season?

Maybe in a sign and trade scenario, otherwise I wouldn't. Splitter is an above average center and is only 30 while making less than $9 million. He probably maxes at 70 games, and 27 mpg though, so a good backup would be a must. In that Collision+pick swap scenario with Thompson added the Spurs would fill 3 roster for only $100,000 more than with Parkers on the books.
They would have around $18.6 million in cap space if they move Mills to carve out more space.

Dude's 32 thats the same age Isiah, KJ, and other quickness based point guards started to decline at. Shouldn't be surprising and you shouldn't fault him for it. If he was 25 or fat like Raymond Felton and playing this way I can understand ting on him all day for it but he just got old
I dont see what team with 14 million cap space would take that contract on and use up all their cap space on it. He's a quickness based point guard entering into his mid 30s. Dumber things have happened but it would surprise me
