Fivehead with a dominant SB run could've made it a real debate. Brady is 2nd all-time for me tbh.

most TDs in SB history
4 SB rings
3x SB MVP
game-winning drive, 4 TDs against the best defense in the league, overcoming a 10-point deficit in the 4th
it's a wrap.
Montana and Bradshaw also have 4 SB rings each, and they never lost a SB.
I already had Brady in my Top 3
- Montana
- Unitas
- Brady
Tom would need to Win 1 more seriously challenge Joe Cool
Brady played in an era for inflated passing numbers.
he's undeniably the best qb of this generation
Yes. No debate.
BOILED DOWN:::
Duncan 5
Brady 4
Duncan > Brady

I don't see how losing before the Superbowl is a point that puts them above Brady. I'd rather be 4-2 in the SB than 4-0.
this
brady has 6 conference championships while montana has 4... therefore montana is better?![]()
Exactly. And Brady led his team down the field and scored to give his team the lead in both SB losses.. the D just couldn't stop NYG from scoring (thanks in large part to two ridiculous catches and 1 Welker drop). Brady could easily be 6-0 right now if not for those miraculous plays/Welker drop.
Not to mention Montana was throwing to the greatest WR of all time. I just think overall what Brady has done gives him the GOAT le. Either way, it'll be a good topic of discussion for a long time.
Montana won 2 Super Bowls without Rice.
And Montana could have led other Niner teams to the Super Bowl in the 90s if not getting benched and later traded to the Chiefs.
Stupidest argument ever. It literally does not make any sense as a knock against Brady.
He could also be 3-3 if not for det call.
Montana played in an era where defenses were physically not equipped or capable of handling West Coast Offenses. Literally had mismatches that teams did not know how to handle, or didn't have the personnel to handle.
Brady has the longevity on his side, but he's also played in an era where the QB has every imaginable advantage especially compared to previous eras. Who's to say he would have been as durable when the rules aren't so much on his side. He's a great QB, arguably top two, but the only advantage he has on Montana is longevity.
Bull . Those Bears, Redskins, and Giants defenses in the 80s always had answers for the Niners offense. And they could do whatever they wanted with the rules back then. The NFL wasn't pussified until the mid 2000s when Peyton demanded the rules get changed.
WTF are you talking about? The Bears were one of the worst equipped teams to handle the WCO. Their 46 was KNOWN for being exploited by a quick passing attack.
Kill yourself.
not like brady had elite receivers in his first few runs. not to mention Montana was still playing with Clark for those first two, a hall of fame receiver in his own right
And modern era defenses are much bigger, faster, stronger athletes that QBs have to deal with. The speed of the game in general is faster now than ever before, despite the protection of QBs, due to got teams like the Steelers who intentionally try to hurt opposing QBs because anyone knows if you lose your starting QB, your season is almost certainly over.
And they still dominated the Niners in 1985
But the Giants kicked the Niners ass in the playoffs in back to back years and eliminated them in 1990.
And offenses have dominated more than ever. The passing game has exploded, spread offenses have played a big part in this league the last few seasons and the athletes are also bigger and faster on the offensive side.
