basically any QB outside the elite (Rodgers, Brady, Luck, Brees) would be best off playing second-fiddle to marshawn lynch when your most dangerous receiving threat is a guy who hadn't caught a pass in his career
He only had 12 completions the entire game with a 57% completion percentage, which is below average in today's NFL. One of those completions was that miracle catch on the last drive. How is that considered "damn good?"

prior to the pass he was 12-20 for 247 yards with 2 TD's and no picks. that was good for a QBR of 137
even after the pick was QBR was above 110
you can say he only had 12 completions but they averaged 21 yards a pop, not to mention Kearse dropping what should have been an easy catch on a picture perfect ball.
Nope, this year's playoff run was bigger. Struggle needed wins in which he dominated in order to validate his media-anointed status as an elite quarterback and to prove that last season wasn't a fluke. He proceeded to play Ryan Lindley/Joe Webb caliber football in the NFC le game and get bailed out by Green Bay's re ed coaching staff. Then he took almost an entire half of the Super Bowl off and threw an atrocious game-losing pick. Now it's abundantly clear he's nothing more than a game manager on a stacked team.
The rest of the NFC is hoping and praying Struggle becomes the highest-paid QB in football. That means Seattle's run is over and Dallas and Arizona can take the next step.Let's see what kind of $$$$$ this record breaking QB gets, ok moron?
At least we can agree on that, the Pats did get lucky as that Seattle tried to make their game-manager QB look like a hero. Belichick not taking a timeout would have gone down as one of the dumbest calls in Super Bowl history if not for Struggle.Nobody is thinking the Pats won that game and we all know it. They got lucky and we all saw it.
c'mon now let's wait till he gets paid and hamstrings his franchise before we make such statements
Blaming Kearse for a drop, but completely disregarding his Top-5 SB catch that put them in position to win...man you're shameless![]()
yeah, i mean when he gets paid they might lose some receiving weapons like Ricardo Lockette and Chris Matthews![]()
if you're going to give all the credit to Kearse for that catch then Kearse equally deserves the blame for the drop
His receivers were covered well on almost every play.
And he made some terrific runs to get them out of trouble.
Also, you don't need to pass when you got Lynch running it.
That said, it was not a great game by Wilson, but it definitely was not bad.
Anyone who thinks RW is a game manager knows ...0...about football. Watch how much this "game manager" gets when his contract is up. What "game manager" makes that kind of $$$$$?
So you saw the game also, I wish the dummies talking had.
You mean guys who actually stepped up with the game on the line instead of choking like Struggle?
throwing the interception that loses your team the championship makes it a bad game.
Man you're reaching. Wilson had a decent game at best but ultimately he ed it up. His defense gave him a chance and he threw a pick.
How much time was on the clock, plenty of time to move the ball.
who threw the ball on every catch they made
and look at you suddenly turning heel after the game ended. in the game thread you were the one that kept saying "Kearse's drop is what lost the game"
when you say his defense gave him a chance, are you referring to the back to back touchdown drives that the Pats had just gone on?![]()
Brady threw two picks.
and the excuses begin
To be fair, that unknown receiver can't be judged fairly till he's played at least one season with another QB (Tate, Harvin, and Rice all having career years before or after Wilson).
Avante "logic": if a player gets overpaid, he must automatically be good! Percy Harvin = best player in football!
I also called Struggle's pick before it happened.
not making excuses. i'm on the "they could have gone with Lynch instead of throwing the ball at the 1" wagon... it was an obvious call and they blew it. basically any team in the NFL should hand the ball of to lynch every time in that situation, not specific to wilson
Certainly plenty of time to run the ball
Who threw the game clinching pick with 20 seconds left from the 1 yard line?
Did you see the NFC le game? Dude, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
