So getting to the SB and losing is somehow worse than getting eliminated in the 1st Round or not even making the playoffs?

    Explain that one to me.....
Where do you draw the line? Who is to say the Colts or Ravens weren't the 2nd Best team this season, just because they met the Patriots earlier in the Playoffs.

Why should we credit Brady when we don't know if his team would have defeated the 2011 49ers (whom lost to Giants or the 15-1 Packers that lost to NYG in the Divisional Round)

Montana and Bradshaw also have 4 SB rings each, and they never lost a SB.
Montana had that TD record in 4 Superbowls you are correct, took Brady 6 to get that record and he lost twice. I would say Montana has the edge there obviously. Brady though overall body of work is up there, way up there. Bradshaws stats were not that great but he did win, had dominant D's and a great RB and two great WR's to boot, he had some help with that Steel Curtain behind him but he was a mad man throwing that ball down the field.

    - Same amount of Rings with less games needed
    - Same amount of TDs with less attempts needed
    - Less Interceptions
    - Higher Passer Rating
    - Higher Completion Percentage

What is there left to say?
Montana played with 12 offensive HOFers in his runs, Brady had just 2, Your failure of a take just keeps failing more.

Why didn't Montana make more Superbowl games? Because he lost in earlier rounds. Far less impressive

To be fair, the NFC was a far superior conference from the mid to late 80s to the first half of the 90s.

You have the most ass backwards logic I have ever seen. Your ignorance and complete lack of knowledge, combined with your adamant arrogance is incomprehensible. You would be better off begging Lennox Lewis to fist you, than ever talking about football again.

I know. I just hate the "4-0 is better than 4-2" thing. It makes no sense

If the 49ers were in the AFC, they would have played in 10 straight Super Bowls (1981-1991)

Rice was the only offensive Hall of Famer that Montana played with.

Clark and maybe a couple Olineman. Ill have to double check. Even 12 total HOFs is a major stretch. 49ers don't have 12 players in HOF in Franchise History

And that noob was lobbing insults at me

I just checked on the Niners website. Only Rice, Fred Dean, Lott, Walsh, and Young made the Hall of Fame.

Maybe some others made it but went into the hall with other teams? Or does it not work like baseball?

    http://www.49ers.com/team/history/hall-of-famers.html

they have 14 hall of famers according to their website. most were pre-montana and only rice was on offense during his time.

I'm curious as well. Who made that claim? I know I certainly didn't, but if someone did, they are nearly as stupid as you.

winning a superbowl is a bigger accomplishment than making one. making a superbowl is certainly a bigger accomplishment than getting knocked out before it

Between 1981 and 1990, the only teams to make the Super Bowl from AFC and not lose to 49ers were Raiders and the embarrassed Patriots.

So yah Montana would have most likely played in 10 straight Super Bowls

    of course he can't

they pretty close tbh but I'd still give the edge to Joe... at the end he played in an era much tougher for QBs, his numbers are below TB but in Joe's era, less TDs were scored, rules protected less offense tbh but I can see both side of the argument
