Resurgence in terms of popularity, not food quality. At some point, it seemed like they were shutting down locations. Now they are all over the ing place.

Really? Where do you live? I'm in SA and the only Taco Bell's that I've noticed shut down, were ones that shut down because they built a new one down the street.
It's been a while. I lived in East Texas and they shut down a few. This was back when the buildings were shaped like a mission or whatever that was. It just seemed like they exploded and now they are as common in some areas as McDonalds.
I just looked it up and they've doubled the amount of locations since the 90's.
I thought it has actually gotten less popular and that is why they have resorted to selling all size sodas for 99 cents.
Their stupid doritos locos taco are complete .
