But I would bet that Beck probably made a record that he wrote, played on, and arranged himself and probably had a hand in engineering. I was going to check it out last night but after reading the reviews, I gave Sea Change a listen instead which was pretty cool. I still like his more upbeat stuff...Guero.

I listened to that Beck album more than anything else this year (close second was the latest War On Drugs record). The Grammys actually got it right for once imo. I am shocked really. I know everybody loves Kanye, but I don't get it... I've tried, but outside of a few tracks, I think his music is bull . Beyonce too. I don't know why anyone would think that her album is anywhere near as good as Beck's. It's preposterous.

Haven't listened to Beck since Sea Changes, which is a great album. I'll have to check out his latest. I thought the prior album was pretty bad (for him anyway) and figured he'd probably lost his magic and was mailing it in. One of this musicians that has a lot of stuff I really like but a lot I don't too.
They still let this guy in after the embarrassing Taytor Swift thing? They need to ban this guy from any types of awards. Just saying.
