Getting him when we have Belinelli would be redundant. I'll pass.

If I had to guess, I'd say sa is last on the list of teams mentioned. I'm fine with that.

The great thing about Ray is we really have no interest in him and he has no interest in us, tbh.

Ray always intended to follow LeBron to Cleveland. He just wanted to see if they could start winning.

    If:
    Brandon Bass
    Kevin Garnett
    AK47
    Prince

get brought out then that final spot would be better suited for any of them. Kind of hoping for Garnett but he'd almost certainly go to L.A.C along with Prince. Ak47 would make sense as a backup 3 or a small ball 4.

What about Hakeem? Might as well go for Dr J as well since we're going for washed up players.

I know a lot of people here these days don't want anymore of those so called "washed up" players, but seriously, you don't think any of those players listed above wouldn't be better than Ayres?

No. Ayres won a ring last year. What did any of those assholes you listed win?

Do you think the Spurs run from individual talent or team chemistry? KG, really?

^^^^ This, when they started winning this sellout decides he wants to play again and run to a contender. Ray Allen is one of my most hated players in the NBA to be honest, since his rivalries with Bowen and so on, just never could stand his smug face for some reason.

I agree on Chemistry and see what you are saying but Ayres had nothing at all to do with the ring and if he were released it would not effect the team at ALL, NONE. He is about as worthless as they come and hardly gets any mins, he had no part in winning that ring. I do see what you are saying about Chemistry though and not adding certain guys to the mix.

The Bowen part is what made me hate that dude as well, since way back.

They got back Stephen Jackson partly due to the team needing an edge. I know most of that trade was about dumping a certain someone's contract, but adding Jackson bought a bit of an edge to the team that was sorely lacking it at the time. Pop also said he's not opposed to bringing in players like that, they don't all have to be choir boys he's mentioned before in the past. If you ask me, right now, this team doesn't have an edge. They could use someone that could help light a fire under their assess to get the team rolling again. Pop doesn't seem to be doing too much of that lately.

And don't EVER tell me that Ayres' ring that he didn't earn is worth more than players that are ring-less. Dumbest I've heard on here in a long time.

Edit : My dislike for Allen goes back to the Bowen days too. I've disliked him ever since.

The only time I didn't mind him was for a short period of time in Boston, but after he screwed them over, I was back to thinking he's the same asshole from back in the day.

Yes, when they beat LA that year in the finals I was rooting for them to win, actually did not mind him at the time as you said. When he bolted from Boston to a Heated rival though as Pierce and KG said I was done with him for good! He sold out to the fullest extent bolting town to run to a team for a ring, especially a RIVAL team you supposedly hated. I never looked at him the same since then, liked him for a very short period or actually did not mind him and then he makes me hate him again. I just can't stand the guy.

I agree on Ayres too, that ring argument is very shallow and weak. Ayres did not have a THING to do with that ring and everyone knows it. He sat on the bench and the team got him a ring, period.

I know about the Duncan-Garnett opposition, but the way Diaw looks right now, we could really use someone who Can pass, rebound and hit outside the paint...

Garnett's not washed up, he's actually having a solid season. He's 38 and still an average player. Very good rebounding numbers and his defensive metrics are still very good (100 DRtg and 6th among PFs in DRPM). He's been an excellent midrange shooter this season. hitting 48% of his shots outside of 16 feet (where he takes half of his total shots).

The Spurs could start him along side Duncan for 20 mpg (the same amount he averages now) and have both Splitter and Diaw come off the bench with Mills, Cojo/ Belinelli and Ginobili. The starting unit would have better spacing and the bench, assuming Splitter gets it together, would have a better rim protector.

They are so guard heavy as is (Westbrook, Jackson, Roberson, Waiters, Lamb) It would be difficult to carve out 20 mpg for him on that team. Maybe they try to go after Lopez again and throw in Jackson along with Perkins and Lamb. They could use him though with OKC being one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league.

Didn't earn? He's an NBA player on a team that won a ring. AK47, not so much. I don't care for Ayres, but I'd rather gets some unknown D-league hopeful than some proven loser.

Just another guy to be injured all season or get tossed at the wrong time. No thanks. We have 5 rings, Garnett. all the ty washed up vets who are now looking at SA as a last option.
