SpurPadre dropping nukes.
SVG is a top 10 coach in the league tbh.
Keep going...
Man, I just hope this week off lights a fire under them and they stop playing like a bunch of pussies who don't give a . I'll be at the Dubs game, too so I'm expecting an A game there.
Things to take from this game:
- Green continues to be one of the streakiest 3 specialists in the league, and he appears to be turning it on at the right time
- Kawhi still trying to find a consistent offensive game. This is an integral phase in his development, determining just how good he will be. He's trying, but not quite there yet.
- Diaw falling off a cliff from last year will be the greatest obstacle for this team come playoff time, in my opinion. He really has to rediscover the game that was such a huge part of last year's championship, because he has reverted back to the passive Diaw of old.
- KL2 is no scholar.
While it's not as simple as saying "the switch has been flipped", there is really no cause for alarm given the team's performance in this game. We all know they're coasting, so it's pretty difficult to analyze just how good they are until the playoffs kick off.
at the "no scholar" remark
Also, agree with the rest of your post....
Good observations, all.![]()
Seldom Danny Green having an A game and made it on the headlines due to Spurs falling short & losing the game in the end
This time he is, with his impressive team-leading 19 pts, 8 rbds, 4 assists, 2 stls, 2 blocks![]()

Well, we are only 2 games out of 3rd in the West. Memphis lost tonight too so that moves us closer to 2nd if anything.
This team SERIOUSLY needs to take advantage of this opportunity and keep playing like they did tonight... especially since OKC is coming.
id expect us to easily make up 2 games on port/houston.
Means we finish 3rd, against 6th, and okc is going to be anywhere from 4-7 imo
id expect us to easily make up 2 games on port/houston.
except for the B2B on the road vs LAC, GSW
I'm actually happy about that. With Kawhi back and Houston/LAC dealing with injuries, and the Mavs dealing with having Rondo on the team, we're primed to make a run to at least the 4th seed, perhaps the 3rd.
Right now, they're the same, and should be equally obtainable.
Easy win...NEXT!
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
The forum misses your regular posting dude. Get back in here. We need more real fans around.
That third quarter is the best I've seen the Spurs play offensively this season. It looked nearly identical to how they played in games 3-5 of the finals.
I'd love to see them store that in a bottle, because if they can get back to that consistently, I'd like their chances to repeat.
I hope Kawhi goes back to SA to get his jump shot.
He obviously forgot to pack it through the first three games of the trip.
I'm not worried about Kawhi. Anyone who cares as much, works as hard and puts as much time in the gym as Leonard does, will be fine. I'm concerned about Manu though. His inconsistency from the FT line has been alarming. That's all mental, form and repe ion. It has nothing to do with his physical skills eroding.
He isn't the only one, in 3 games the Spurs are shooting 40.7%, 28.8% from 3. Hopefully the rest helps them out because the rest of the road trip won't be easy.
