Who's dissembling?--he fought for his country (was a soldier, not a death camp commandant)--so yeah, there's pride there. As for the Nazis, they restored national pride to what was a crippled nation. Sure they had their bad moments and some people died along the way, but like I said that's all water under the bridge now. Didn't seem to upset the US too much, we gladly took them in to get NASA started and help with Soviet counter-intelligence.
