    My Niners totally blew it by letting Alex Smith go. He's right there in the middle of the pack but all we needed being a running team/play monster D. Kaepernick seems to be too caught up in being a celebrity as he regresses. But, the word is he's working with Kurt Warner on how to play NFL QB. Being just a great athlete won't work.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the Rams could ever get a legit QB, they'd be dangerous.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Too bad the Seahawks came into that game with injuries to the Legion of Boom, and then to lose Lane, sucked!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The Cards could be the team to push Seattle/Green Bay/Dalla , in the NFC. The Niners are back to the drawing board.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If I'm Tyreek Hill the Big12 sprint champ out of OSU who has been suspended I'm quitting school and entering the draft/free agent. He would come into the league as the fastest player on day one.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Peyton Manning needs to hang um up. If he doesn't he is going to end up embarrashing himself.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Imagine if Jordy Nelson and Julian Edelman played on the same team? We'd have to go way back to the day of Tom Fears and "Crazy Legs" Hirsh with the Rams when it comes to two "great" white receivers on the same team.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I mentioned that Kurt Warner wasn't going to make the HOF, his career was simply too inconsistant. But....he will eventually, the bagging groceries to Superbowl winner too good to pass.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Tom Brady vs Joe Montana, well Montana never lost a SB. But.....to lose the way the Pats did, just ain't right.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Will we ever see another Barry Sanders.....nope!!!!!!
    Marshawn Lynch weighs 215 pounds, LeGarrette Blount around 240. While neither has Hercshel Walker type speed they are fast. Then there's Bo Jackson, Marcus Dupree both ran a 9.5 in high school, both over 220 pounds. That is the huge difference between black and white athletes.....size with speed. Big and fast!
    Look at Randy Moss he was around 6-4 and was an indoor sprint champ while at Marshall. Calvin Johnson is 6-5 or so and can fly, Terrel Owens was fast. These guys tall and fast. Look at Usian Bolt, he is the fastest human who ever walked the earth he's 6-5.
    We just don't see those kinds of athletes without roots to western Africa. A big white back is a Mike Alstott type, a thumper. A stud white receiver is a quick shifty guy.
    Then there's the agility/elusiveness. My theory on that is....rhythm.....most white cats simply don't have it while blacks have it in abundance.
    When RW was given the starter job I'm pretty sure Carroll knew that he didn't have a strong receiving gang but did have a great back/solid D and a mobile QB. So why not do what the Niners were doing? Run the ball, play defense? A we have seen that formula has won the NFC the last three seasons. Yes, you don't have to...gotta pass, ya gotta pass!....no ya don't!
    RW can pass the ball, he's just not in an offense that needs to play that. And as we have seen it's been more succesful than anyone elses system since RW came in the league having won the most games.
    RW plays the QB position a little different than what we are used to seeing, but if success means anything..................
    Just saw a scene out of The Defiant Ones on TMC.
    There's Sidney Poitier chained to Tony Curtis, yep, escaped convicts. So there they are running to catch a train, Poitier has no problem catching up to the train, not so for slow white Tony Curtis.
    Nailed it~~~~~~~
    In a perfect sports world....
    Eulace Pea is in Berlin in 1936.
    Muhammad Ali never goes to prison.
    Hurricane Carter stays home that night.
    Montana, Craig, Rice and Lott all retire Niners.
    Chief running backs....Mack Lee Hill, Stone Johnson and Joe Delaney don't die inside two years.
    LeBron plays TE.
    Warren Wells doesn't get popped for sales.
    Cliff Branch is in the HOF.
    Gale Sayers, Bo Jackson, don't get injured.
    Barry Sanders played 4 more years.
    Watch out what you wish for, you'll probably get a list with each position's player that had the best 3 years to start a career.
    Answering a question is taking the bait?
    That would be Eric erson. He had the yards, the average and the scores unlike anyone else if we combine the total package. If he'd stayed with the Rams he'd been the all time leading rusher.
    A 9.4 100 yards guy while in high school in Sealy Texas. There is no doubt at all if not for football he's a national class sprinter while at SMU. Olympic champ Jesse Owens was a 9.4 guy, obviously meaning more in the 30's.
    I have to mention Jim Brown, who played in 12 game seasons. His numbers if we gave him 16 games season...hmmmm?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    This Russell Wilson deal is kinda funny actually. I started off just ing around with it, yep....trolling. I saw the reaction/impact it made. Then the guy does start...

    tying rookie td record
    winning a playoff game
    highest passer rating ever by a two year player
    winning more games than anyone after three seasons
    winning a Superbowl
    coming within a foot of winning another

    yep, that Avante curse, hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I had no idea this guy was going to be doing what he has done, I thought he'd be a solid QB, but nothing like what he has become.

    I'm not bull ting when I say if we look at his stats/wins/starts/playoff success there has never been anyone more impressive after just three seasons, nobody!!!! Sure he plays on a team with a stud back/defense but he also plays on a team with no stud receivers or TE, and the NFL is suppose to be a QB's league, so that makes what he's done even more impressive. Imagine if he had Jason Witten and Dez Bryant or the Thomas's, Welker and Emanuel Sanders. Antonio Brown?

    The greatest season ever had was way back in 1934 when the Bears Beattie Feathers became the leagues first 1000 yard rusher. What makes this the greatest season ever is his 9.9 average per carry. There is some debate over that but there is no doubt it was over 8 yards a carry. Great backs might have a 6.4ish season but nobody comes close to averaging 8/9 and gains over 1000 yards.

    Which reminds me of...

    Houston McTear was just a junior at Baker HS in Florida when he tied the world record in the 100 yard dash at 9.0. Which is still the record today (he did it in the mid 70's) since we run meters now. He was also a running back, he averaged over 13 yards a carry his senior season. Everyone wanted him especially Florida but he was really really dumb. So he ended up at a couple JC's out here in California just running track.

    Saw him at the West Coast Relays in Fresno coming from way back on a 4x2 anchor leg (Santa Monica JC) to that...woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!! !!!!...from the crowd, most not knowing who he was. With 10 yards to go he's looking all around with that..."nothing to it"...look on his face. 1980 Olympian, but we didn't go...boycott.

    While talking running backs.

    Imagine a college team with two future Heisman winners in the same backfield. That's what Army had with Glenn "Mr. Outside" Davis ## and Doc "Mr.Inside" Blanchard. One winning the Heisman one year the other the next.

    ## 9.6 sprinter on the Army track team.

    As far as two backs on the same college team that had great NFL success...Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders at Okie State. Both in the top 15 All Time NFL rushers.

    A few others...

    Charles White and Marcus Allen USC
    Franco Harris and Lydell Mitc at Penn State
    Mercury Morris and Duane Thomas at West Texas State

    Trivia

    What junior college did two Hall of Fame running backs attend?

    So tell me Avante, who were the best white backs with some speed and wiggle? If anyone would know it's you.

    They were rare small fry, but there were a few,

    Way back when there was Red "The Galloping Ghost" Grange (real name was Harold) he was a dazzling runner vs white defenders. Fast and elusive but he didn't play vs fast and elusive.

    Huge "The King" McElhenny was the best runner Ive ever seen for a white guy. A former hurdles champion he had great speed and amazing agility. A fantastic broken field runner.

    "Jaguar" Jon Arnett was quick and shifty, and also had speed.

    ie Post was a darter, a stop and go, make um miss cat. Super quick!

    As we know white backs are usually thumpers or hard runners with little elusiveness. Those were the exceptions.

    I picked up on this guy while he was in HS, I expected big things out of him. He left Texas for Michigan, nope! Then he ended up at Rice, nope! Then...poof!

    I always get a kick out of the internet. If we/me/you come in contact with anyone who really knows their stuff, its soooooooooooooooooo important that we...."I'll show him he doesn't know it all"....hahahaha!!!!!!!!! It's like a phobia.

    Little people, pro football historian here, ok? A trivia geek/freak.expert...ok? A successful gambler. Stop fighting it, ok? Embrace it, see it as an opportunity to learn something, a free education.

    I brag about it because it's funny watching the response that gets, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! It's ing funny watching...."you're no betting expert"..then.."one good week!"...then.."so ya got lucky again"...then..."ok ok but it can't last"...then....criclets, as it sets in...."damn hes for real"...hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is funny watching you little s.
