who wants to watch an allstar game for a league where your top 2 players are the most mentally soft players in decades?
I skipped the game too tbqh
Not surprised tbh
RT austinKarp Looks like NBA AllStar game viewership, even with TNT+TBS, was lowest since 2012, when Oscars were head to head. SNL 40th special killed it

Didn't even watch. ty glorified pick-up game.
Not to mention that TNT's coverage/broadcast was very very very ty
I'm sure you had much better things to do in that hole you call home.![]()
whaaaaaaa? you mean people don't want to see moon crickets making their slave ship noise, no talent singers lip syncing, and a game that features chucking 3s and no defense?
![]()
I watched the game Friday night. That's it. I recorded the 3pt shootout an dunk contest. I could careless about the allstar game.
They didn't miss much. It was a display of selfish, chucking basketball with very few "jaw-dropping" plays. That one Celebrity Jeopardy sketch was better than the entire damn ASG.
Tnts coverage overall it's e now.
yup Shaq has lowered the bar immensely. He just likes to bully Chuck and old fattass can't do about it. It sucks terribly
True it wasnt just this weekend tbh
But it's not just Shaq tbh; they just seem to go more and more mainstream in their broadcast, and their shaky camera crew is , not to mention those re ed camera angles during the Saturday Night Events
And dont get me started on Reggie
It is Shaq. It's ok to have one token field hand out there talking ebonics acting all slave honest and all, but Shaq sits around like a tub of all cross-eyed with that "I've been to the top of the mountain" look on his face, oblivious to the fact he's on TV. You cannot understand most of what he says because he's an oaf, and Ernie wishes cancer would have taken him years ago/envies Stuart Scott imo.
Meanwhile in 1988. All Star game more physical than your typical NBA game
I'd rather watch replays of the games from the 90's..This sucks, I didn't watch a minute of it all weekend.
The ASG has always been terrible, tbh..the only ASGs that were worth watching was in the early 2000s era IMO..
The players in the 80s and 90s just weren't entertaining, and the players from the mid-2000s to present have been gunning to win MVP since Kobe got booed in Philly for ball-hogging..
The early 2000s guys weren't concerned with MVP, they just played for entertainment's sake, despite most of them being inferior players from a historical standpoint..Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Iverson, Steve Francis, Marbury, etc..those s were all highly entertaining in All-Star games, and even Shaq was pretty good, too..
To be fair, as ty as the NBA ASG is, it's still probably the best ASG of all the major sports..
I don't think anybody has watched the Pro Bowl in years, the MLB ASG is a farce(home field advantage, really?) and the NHL is irrelevant in the US, of course..
^ its true, you ignorant |3eaner peons better recognize the most aesthetically pleasing All Star Game in NBA history.
It came on while your were shopping for more white pants.
nice one
Even worse was the live tv broadcasts of the weekend events blasting in the arena. sounded horrible with the hollow echo coming through the tv. It's was just stupid. Watching the event live is its own experience. Noplay by play needed. Plus the players are hearing everything being said.
Just disappointed with the over all direction of tnt. And Reggie, gawd that dude overly sucks players he likes it's unbearable.
all star game was just a glorified 3 pt contest. most of the alley oops were incomplete. If this was 2001 the players would've completed most of those. The game has changed and it looks like this is the future of the all star game.
And the crowd sucked ass.
