Yeah. someone is really planning on buying out Martin's contract....

Nope. I'd totally take on Martin for Beli and Ayres if the Wolves were willing to swap the Spurs' pick with the Heat pick.
Really like the idea of the Heat pick swap. Its top 10 protected, i believe. The Heat have made it clear that they aren't going to tank so that pick would probably be no worse than 15th and closer to 12th overall.

Haven't watched Bass much since Orlando. I know he can hit the mid-range jumper but how is he defensively?

Apparently Dallas has interest in Sanders.

    1) How much ing money do they have? Seems like they try to get literally everyone on the market.

    2) He'd be a really good fit for them and I hope he doesn't go there. He could cover some of Amar'e's deficiencies on defense and would actually make their bench decent on that end. Obviously he's a huge question mark in terms of off-the-court stuff, but if he did get his straight, he could do wonders for them IMO. I've never considered Dallas a real threat. Not before the Rondo trade, not after, and not when they went out and got Amar'e. But if they get Sanders as well, and he pans out...they might be for real.

this is going to turn out really well for somebody. The spurs don't have a starting 1 job open. But Tony isn't exactly made of steel, and there's always Pops rest strategy. Jackson seems to perform well against the Spurs, iirc.

I think the Spurs should swap Cojo(+) for a rookie scale point like Lavine, instead of paying for an extension. If they're going to pay extension money, i'd rather they throw in some cap flex money and slap it down on the offer sheet table for Jackson. You don't get natural wingspan and athleticism from European farm minutes. Either way it goes down, Jackson solves the pending post-Manu, aged Tony crisis. Or Jackson cost somebody else that much more. You might be thinking, "isn't this the trade thread? What's with offer sheets and extension money?" Good point, wherever Jackson ends up... i'll be rooting that he doesn't sign an extension. And i'll hold out drunk hope on a 3 way deal with minny and okc.

Good. Keep him away from a contender while he receives a nice paycheck from the Bucks still.

Not sure that puts Portland over the top but will definitely make them even more of a contender. This conference is ing insane. the East.

Afflalo is on the downhill, he's an average player nowadays..another example of name recognition hype, tbh..he's a good post-up guard in a league that doesn't reward post-up guards anymore..

He has played well against the Spurs, but that's irrelevant on the large scale..

I like Chandler, I wanted him on the Spurs for years, but he's no longer an impact player, either IMO..

Spurs are going to do nothing. Affalo to Portland could bring them a le. I really think they are one player away.

Who knows? Many of us were expecting the Spurs to make a move the past few years, but they never did. This year, none of us are expecting them to make a move, so it seems only appropriate that they would.

I mean neither of them are great players, but look at who they'll be replacing. Afflalo is a noticeable upgrade over someone like CJ McCollum or Crabbe or whoever the they're giving minutes to.

Same goes for OKC. Chandler isn't some game-changer, but when you compare him to Andre ing Roberson, it's a noticeable improvement.

I'm not saying we should be freaking out or anything...but I'd definitely prefer if these teams didn't pick up guys like Afflalo/Chandler.

They would be good additions, I don't think either of them changes anything, though..

Afflalo would be a nice addition to a ty Portland bench, but that team doesn't have anything close to a championship-level team, just based on their gimmick style of play and personnel..

I don't think players like Wilson Chandler age well, tbh..he doesn't have a niche at a position that is most difficult to find a role on a team if you aren't a 3&D(or just 3/just D) guy..

It would suck if George went to a non-contender. The Pacers are a scrub team too but at least he's home.

You can't combine a player and an exception.
