JLW had 9662 career yards, and he had consecutive years of 1528 yds, 1156 yds, 1413 yds, and 1240 yds. He was a great RB and maybe the best in Seahawks history.

Sounds about right to me. I hope Lynch retires and RW gets overpaid. Then we'll see how good he truly is with a "so-called" decent replacement in Turbin and a weaker defense since the defense will likely not be able to afford all of its current higher paid assets due to RWs bigger contract.

Elite QBs can overcome other deficiences a team may have. Right now RW's team has a great defense and a solid running game. Was just curious to if RW can elevate his game when face with more deficiences than he currently has.

So what if I have my mind made up on if he is an "elite" QB. He either proves me right or wrong. The great ones seem to always elevate the others around them.
oh, if your contention is just that Wilson isn't elite, then i'm in agreement. i also know that pushing the reset button at the QB position sets a franchise back several years unless they're about to take an andrew luck. lynch's retirement will certainly hurt the team, he's one of the best backs in the game. that's not really a revelation. anytime a team loses a great player, they'll take a step back. and as for the "elite qb can make up for losses" its not entirely accurate. in the past few seasons, compare brady's numbers with and without gronk in the lineup.
wilson can be the qb of that team for another decade. will he ever be a top 3 qb in the league? probably not. but that's not a requisite to being a great team. Lynch will be 29 with mileage and apparently back problems.
I just want to see if he can do more / less / same when given more responsibilities. Since he is coming off his rookie contract I wil lbe curious how much the team will be able to keep that defense together. Who knows what Lynch is thinking/does so more responsibilities will be put on his table. Just want to see how he reacts, meaning have we seen his ceiling or can he take a team on his shoulders so to speak.
as of now the team is built to run the ball. Doug Baldwin is a good #3 receiver on any decently built team. Instead he's the #1 starting alongside Jermaine Kearse.
if Lynch retires, they either have to:
a) replace him with a high draft pick and try to maintain their current playstyle
b) move on from the run-centric offense and pick up some receiving weapons
if they just lose lynch, hope to replace him with turban, and keep their receiving corps the same, they will certainly struggle on offense. most any quarterback would
