Choking in the Finals brings it down a couple pegs though
Where does that rank in all time great Spurs performance in history, tbh?
Choking in the Finals brings it down a couple pegs though
It was really good. He eviscerated Memphis in the WCF. That was probably the best series I've seen him play.
The shot against Miami in game 1 was also legendary.
Someone post that step back 3
Top 3 for sure. Tim's 2003 playoff run, Manu's 2005 energy... However you rank those 3 doesn't matter, tbh.
The Parker Game 1 shot against Lebron would've gone down as the best shot in Spurs history if they had won the le, IMO.
2014: D+
2013: B+(his games 6 and 7 of the Finals are 2 of the worst performances in Finals history)
2012: B
2011: C
2010: C
2009: A-
2008: B-
2007: B+
2006: C+
2005: F
2004: B
2003: F
2002: C+
+Parker scoring 25 in game 5 on a bum hamstring
he was on a mission that year. too bad we choked it up
Averaged 15 ppg on 47 TS% over those seven games - pretty horrific for a first option player who was hailed as an MVP candidate.
Forgot what series it was, but didn't he get kicked on his calf as well? It looked like a baseball, supposedly.
Warrior.
That series against Memphis was legendary.
The best playoffs performance Tony ever had tbh...
Still below 2013 Duncan though
forgot about that. He was amazing
Yup, he was fantastic against the Grizz. It's just too bad he couldn't put together one complete playoff run like Duncan or Manu have in the past. Had to choke hardcore against the Heat.
Tony has been amazing playing with injuries and never giving excuses. Unlike other spurs tbh
When he hit that 3 it felt like it was just meant to be. Then he hit the 2 and it just re-affirmed.
Damn I wanted to beat that Heat team, the Heat in all its glory, the Heat team that won 28 straight, the Heat team that didnt look tired and old........damn.
Better than Kawhi's choke at the free throw line in game six.
Some re s in here.
you're a got

Man, I loved watching Tony so much in 2013, he was so good in those first 3 rounds..he just hasn't been the same since the pressure of the Finals got to him in 2013, he literally hasn't been the same player since game 5 of the 2013 Finals..he got rattled, and it was over..
We would have never had to endure 6 if he had shared the ball, rather than taking a historically inefficient 23 shot attempts and attempting to win Finals MVP..Spurs would have been winning by 20-30, tbh..
Duncan playing with plantar fascitis against the Mavs:
32/12/4/3 on 62% TS in seven games.
Manu playing with a broken arm against the Grizzlies:
21/4/4/3 on 59% TS in six games.
Tony Parker playing through an "injury" against the Heat:
15/6 on 47% TS in seven games.
First two are amazing performances while playing through an injury. The last one? Not so much.
