Folks here have been interested in him before. I'd cut Williams in a heart beat to open up the roster slot for Robinson. Give him a modest two year deal to conserve the MLE option this summer.

The sooner you guys accept the fact we're not getting anybody, the better, tbh.
In before he is better than Ayres.
(he is though)
Robinson is ing terrible. There's a reason that he's now on his 4th team in 2 1/2 seasons. He can jump high, but he can't ball.
Can't hit a ft either. Like we need more of those.
If it's for the minimum, why not?
Can't believe he's already a bust. He was the 5th overall pick just 3 years ago.
I don't think there's any reason to give Robinson a one-year deal. They wouldn't be signing him for the present. I'd say a three-year deal with the last two non-guaranteed but with a June guarantee date. Maybe a total value of $8 Million or so.
2 1/2 years ago, only 2 drafts ago. It's not like he didn't get a shot one place because of team fit. 3 teams have ejected him quickly, with very little fanfare after expending assets to get him.
Chinook, I can't feature this. How do you think he's worth that money? I usually have some understanding of your takes, even if I don't agree. The kid is just a bust, at three stops so far, no less.
I'd rather give a Thomas Robinson a flier and see if we can get anything out of him, low risk gamble, than go with Reggie Williams for the rest of the season for no reason. We're the team that salvages talent, after all. I'm sure you're all right about him being trash, but it still seems like something better to gamble on.
No one's gonna sign a three-year min deal. There's no point in a short contract, and the team doesn't need to save the money. Plus, they'd get a decent trade asset for the draft.
I don't understand your desire to sign him at all, long contract, short contract or at any amount. He's shown very little actual basketball ability.
I definitely don't like him as much as I do/did Derrick Williams, but I was just saying that I'd only take a flier on Robinson on a long-term deal. I'd be willing to pay a bit extra to make that happen, but a one-one-year deal is not worth it.
^^^^^ This TBH.We could say that about the whole NBA practically and be right.
Sounds like a Thunder kind of guy. Picking up all sorts of draft underachievers this year with Waiters and Kanter.

Kendrick Perkins has completed contract buyout with the Jazz, and plans to sign with the Cavaliers, agent Arn Tellem tells Yahoo Sports.
Nice pickup by the cavs. Helps them out in a lot of potential match-ups and adds another veteran to the team.
No it doesn't. Perkins is subtraction by addition for them.
I disagree. He was bad for OKC because they were paying him $8 million/year and playing him 20+ mpg. For a 4th big making minimum salary, you could do worse than Perkins. As long as he only gets 10-15 mpg, he'll be a decent pickup. He's definitely not a difference maker or anything, but he does help them slightly IMO.
It's an irrelevant move, Lebron doesn't play well with bigs that clog the lane, tbh..it doesn't hurt them, but it doesn't change anything, I doubt he'll play much in the playoffs..
Mozgov was a solid move, as he's mobile and stretches the floor out, unlike Perk..
Perkins is a poor player in today's league, his previous role has been eradicated..
Basically this. Any time Porkins spends on the floor will murder their offense while doing little for defense.
