Why is everyone so excited? The Heat still look pretty bad. Wade looks average and Bosh isn't even close to his pre-Lebron days. Throw in the injuries and their only upside is Whiteside. They still have no bench and Deng and Wade still suck.
Well they do have one of the worst PG rotations in the NBA, Cole/Napier/Chalmers. Dragic is a huge upgrade over them, may be that franchises' best true PG in years.
just checked the free agency list, and after the trades, i'd say there is no good or great player the lakers can realistically target without a massive overpay like maxing enes kanter or similar.
Trading Norris Cole for a bag of cow manure would of been an upgrade for the Heat. Norris Cole along with Ramon Session are without a doubt 2 of the worst rotation point guards in the NBA.

we were talking about what is likely to happen, not what would be wise to do. It's pretty much a given that the lakers will sign an undeserving max free agent and overpay for a role player.. Wouldn't shock me if it was demonkey jordan and danny green for around 32per year

I don't think Miami can make the finals after this trade, sure it could happen but I doubt it. It's unlikely they can get past either Chicago or Cleveland, and perhaps the Wizards, Hawks. This is a trade made so they have enough juice to make the playoffs. Still think when the smoke clears it will be Bulls/Cavs ECF if all teams stay healthy.
