Eh. Like I've been saying, we're most likely not winning it all this year. Better to just accept that now instead of setting yourself up for massive disappointment. If we do, that's gravy, but it's probably not happening tbh. We still got 5.
They were competent on offense and same level on defense as this year's Spurs team who are both awful at defense and offense.
What the .

Last year deserves an asterisk. A fluke bigger than 06 heat or 11 mavs
Hard to argue with you there. I'd say the 2012 team was better too.
Stop repeating this wretched take.
You seriously think that a team with broken TD, old McDyess, Richard Jefferson, no Green, no Kawhi, no Diaw, no Patty, Dejuan blair, and Splitter getting 3 minutes/game is better than the current squad?
Stop. Just give it up.
Maybe not better talent wise but the 11 squad showed more heart
As rough as this year has been...RICHARD JEFFERSON
RICHARD ING JEFFERSON
that
The 2011 team was utterly incapable of playing defense. They were bounced in the first round because they were an awful defensive team. They didn't show much heart getting obliterated by Marc Gasol and ZBo and Mike Conley.
we'll bounce back bad game for kawhi = bad game for the spurs
Don't know if OP is just trolling but I agree with Juggity, stop pushing this take already.![]()
U should compared this team to the 2008 team which was also coming off a championship.
We also kept the all the players back from the championship team in 2007.
The current Boris Diaw is that Horry in 2008 tbh.
I can understand there being doubts, but most likely?
Solid point and the FO didn't do to improve the team
Well, the odds are definitely stacked against us. If we don't get a top 4 seed, it'll be almost impossible. If we can get a top 4 seed, which is certainly still realistic, I think we have a fighter's chance. But, I think if OKC is healthy, it'll be really tough to beat them in a 7 game series this season. Our lack of athleticism across the board is really evident this year. And, as soon as Kawhi and/or danny have off games, we struggle offensively, as seen tonight. Hope I'm wrong though. I'm not counting us out completely, just preparing myself. If we get hot from outside at the right time, it could change everything, but that's a big if.
Seedings isn't my main concern honestly. A lot of the top teams are regular season teams and we just match up well with them. Only OKC and GS (match up well with them too, but they are a great team) are threats. But yeah, if majority of our players continue to suck, we will be beat early. Just have to hope we have one more run.
Yep because dominating and winning a record games by 15+ points in playoff history after a finals run the year before is a fluke.. Just stop your act already you are not a Spurs fan obviously and a troll. Last years team was hungry and were dominant, huge difference I agree from this year but leave last year alone already man.
That 11 team got blasted by Dice for being soft as![]()
2010 team that got swept by Phoenix was better. This team will go down as the worst in the Duncan era.
May be better than the 2011 team, but holy cow are both teams limping into the playoffs.
Spurs are gonna need a 2016 round 1 game 7 like the 2014 round 1 game 7 to get this team going.
2011 was a great offensive and mediocre to poor defensive team. 2016 is the opposite.
