Pop overplayed him, tbh
manu 5 turnovers
I was waiting for the usual "Blame Parker" thread. You didn't disappoint.
Fact of the matter is, our wings played like absolute (Kawhi, Danny, Beli) offensively, until the last 3 minutes of the game.
On top of that, this was most likely the worst defensive game we've played all season. Just horrible defensively other than Duncan, leaving guys wide open all over the place and giving up tons of lay ups and offensive boards.
That's why we lost. Not cause of Tony. Without him, we get blown out.
CP3 doing Alpha PG things in the 4th, showing Threequarter how it's done
pop put him in almost 3 minutes in earlier then normal because everyone but duncan sucked
Can't blame Tony this game, tbh...
Manu, Kawhi, Boris... more is expected of them, and this team is going nowhere if those guys don't step up their games.
Not fair to compare TP with one of the best point guards in the league. Tony's more of a Jeff Teague tier player. Parker doesn't belong in the Paul-Westbrook-Curry group.
no turnovers for tp
tp had 13 assist cp3 16
one with 21 point one with 22
tp had 2 steals cp had 1 cp3 4 turnovers and 5 fouls
Parker was being trapped, he didn't handle it well tbh, held the ball a bit long.
But this is where the Spurs miss Boris Diaw the most, he was incredible last year making plays as the outlet from the PnR trap.
Don't know where he has gone, have any of you guys seen him recently???
Peeps here are unrealistic... that's two more quarters we've gotten from TP all season... it's called progress, folks, and you should all embrace it...
