Dude, calm down.
If only Larry Sanders suddenly became a born-again Christian so PATFO would think about getting him.
Dude, calm down.
I dunno, man. Any match-up with the Thunder makes me nervous with the way Westbrook dominates Parker h2h. It's like watching an adult play bball against a child.
I do appreciate your optimism.
Naw, Im tired of the little got trolls coming to this board and making a mockery of our fanbase with the stupid Parker is a cancer, Evita is a pussy, Kawhi is our supergod bull , and then that got Apalisock/Malik_Hairston/HarlemHeat/Darius got all troll from one account, gets ing old
We should ask D-Rob to start working on him.![]()
Well we won game 6, so your fear is irrelevant and so is the entire scenario
Doubt OKC will overtake the spurs in the standings for that to happen they would have to go on a super win streak of 12-14 games in a row along with the spurs having a massive losing streak of 5-6 games in a row.
Very possible imo. The Thunder looked great tonight against the mavs.
Da Admiral would gladly volunteer his time, too.
They're only like 5 games back, lol.. Spurs could very well lose there next 5 its been that kind of season
Kanter replacing Perkins is a big upgrade as well and gives them interior presence on offense. Kanter sucks on defense but Ibaka will pick up the slack.
This. Also, Spurs being 5 back of 3rd place is WAY different than OKC being 5 back of the Spurs.
It's got nothing to do with optimism.
Obviously the Spurs aren't gelling the way last year's team did. That doesn't mean they're not still a contender. There are several contenders out west. Hopefully they get it together by playoff time, like they did last year.
I just never understood why one game has the ability to send some fans into a frenzy.
This team looks about the way they have for a while now: slightly above average, with occasional flashes of brilliance and occasional flashes of inep ude.
My point is just that this one game does not really warrant the meltdown people are having.
Okay we are mediocre this season, but aren't that bad![]()
Sadly, it's not just one game. Take a look at the games against Clippers (both games in the past month), Jazz, Lakers, Nets, Kings, Pelicans, etc..
Spurs are 14 game above .500 while they are only 4 games above .500 with the same amount of games played. I still feel the spurs have a good cushion on them. Its usually hard to make up that type of deficit. Its possible but it will take a massive nose dive from the spurs to do it. The ball is in the spurs court and if they can't keep ahead of OKC they have only themselves to blame.
Yeah, still too soon to count the Spurs out. But there is reason to be concerned. IMO, Diaw/Splitter is the biggest concern. Don't know if they are just coasting, but their subpar play has been hurting the Spurs this year.
Keep in mind the Spurs still play OKC twice, so lose both those games and it's not so tight anymore...
Lost in all the suck ude of tonight's loss was Duncan's great game. 30 pts, 11 rbs, 2 blks, 1 stl, 0 tnvrs. Against one of the best defensive bigs in the game in DeAndre Jordan.
t's crazy that a big who's almost 40 ing years old is still our best player... You really can't say enough good things about Timmy. He's just unreal and we'll never have another player like him.
Spurs don't play them until late March and April. If the Spurs are barely ahead of them by the time they meet them in March then the spurs are in some serious trouble. The Spurs should make serous progress by then in the next few weeks that the 2 games against OKC should be meaningless. If thats not the case by late March I won't even care if the Spurs lose because it will already be set in stone that the Spurs are just terrible this year.
^^^^^^ DAMN RIGHT!
That's my point. It's not just one game, so why does this one game cause so many people to go berserk?
I understand being concerned about the play of the team, and the ulative effect of these losses is disturbing, but it's just tiring seeing cliff-jumpers after every loss.
This team has many flaws, and these need to be addressed. I honestly don't see this team making it to the Finals, but I hope it can happen and that is a possibility.
I guess I just find it weird, after 6, seeing so many people freak out about the regular season.
Cliff-jumping over any RS loss is indeed unnecessary. I think we can get through this RRT with a 6-3 record. I can only hope that slowly we can regain our composure and finish the RS strong. If we can enter the playoffs with a top four seed, I like our chances because we have the experience to overcome a lot when push comes to shove.
We lost this game tonight......we're ing finished.
If we win this game tonight.....we've flipped the switch.
Step away from the cliff people.
