    Terrible.

Splitter won't find his game playing limited minutes.

Damn as much as I dislike Parker's game this year, TD being awful defensively in the last 20 games, Kawhi having a tough stretch in the last 4 games..

Pop is really the main reason why this team can't even get a rhythm because he continues tinkering the lineup and playing mind games with Parker, Kawhi, Green, Splitter, and DiawS..

Maybe something is still wrong with Splitter and the team isn't letting on too much?

As much I'd like to see split back as starter with more mins, its hard to fault Bayne's game . He's earned his mins and just keeps improving . Plus he plays better with Tim while the Tiago pairing in my mind hasn't been working for a long time.

You also can't go ignore the fact that Tiago doesn't look fit. They were icing his calf during the game . His mobility has slowed and what little jumping ability he did have has deserted him.

Pop on a back to back not adjusting mins and rotations was a mistake. It was obvious Tim's D was of the traffic cone kind and Tony was struggling both ends.

Have to agree with you on this one. Even if the offense, and spacing is at times with both Tim and Tiago are on the floor the defense is much better and that's what it begins with trying to get back on track. I like Baynes, especially on the offensive end around the basket, but he should only be playing 10-15 minutes a game as a backup center. Baynes isn't going to be playing 20+ minutes hopefully in late April and May anyways.

Not if we expect to win. The defense has got to go back to lockdown mode.

Truth. Baynes has been ting defending the 3 point line the past few weeks. Just last night, he let the splash sisters cuck him all night long.

If you are expecting a 6'10" center/PF (and the PF is somewhat questionable... to be defending the 3 point line against a guard and a small forward for more than 3 possessions or so per game he is going to get on every time by everyone. If for some weird reason a switch occurs where your big body center is on a PG or most small forwards more than 10 to 12 feet from the basket, he is supposed to hedge about 5 to 7 feet off of the opposing wing so that he can prevent a lay-up and provide help... He is hoping to be close enough to use his length to contest jump shots....

Just ignor jeebus he always trolls. Baynes should not be expected to defend out that far, if he is the the defender he is covering for is doing a very poor job...here is the area of inquiry for the splash bros defencive effort.

Splitter's total lack of shooting range hurts his fit with Duncan. Duncan's hitting the mid-range shot better than earlier in the season, but Baynes can play more than three feet from the basket.

This team will go how Green and Leonard take it. If both start shooting well, things will change dramatically. Can leave Green in for more minutes too.

Splitter is wrapping that calf heavily when he's on the bench. It's pretty obvious (for those who actually use their brain) that he's still struggling health wise. Guy can barely get off the ground on that calf. It's still bothering him, thus Baynes starts.

Entire team's a mess. It's a combination of role players underperforming(Diaw, Splitter, Mills), the three point shooting taking a nosedive, poor lineups from Pop, and cancerous players getting too much playing time(Parker, Marco). At this rate, the Thunder are going to pass us up.

    25/11/4/4 - Curry
    2/6 - Parker

Yeah, that was all Pop's fault.

Splitter is not healthy. He still treats his calf when he is on the bench. Saw a towel around the calf during a huddle in one of the last two games ... when healthy he will start I guess.

Tony Porker- that got me laughing...

    Sad.

All these issues with this team leaves me with a very bad feeling going into these playoffs.
I can only hope things start coming together in the next month and a half.

Tony loses the weight and regains some quickness. Not speed, I don't think that's coming back, but getting his quickness back to form would help.
Kawhi and Danny become more consistent in both their D and shooting.
Splitter heals, Diaw remembers the season started a while ago, Patty gets more consistent, the ball movement gets crisper, they all focus for the full 48,
Pop gets down on a regular rotation and sticks with it (although his regular season tinkering is an every year thing) and figures out how he wants to properly utilize his players for team success.

So much going wrong, for wanting to be on a championship level- that I don't know if things can be steered right in time.

Baynes isn't great defensively but i'm fine with him starting in a Dejuan Blair type of role. He has been very good finishing around the rim, crashing the glass (and competing for the board even if he doesn't grab it) and hitting the occasional jumper and is a good free throw shooter as well. When (or if) Splitter gets healthy, our bench will be better off with Splitter playing alongside Diaw, Mills, Ginobili and Beli. Splitter is going to have to come off the bench anyway at some point in the postseason.

Baynes you did a great job and are improving day by day. Who would have thought you would be in the starting 5 and topscore at Spurs. For the nay sayers what would the Spurs have done without him - far far worse.

Fact is Pop has to get his old, weary and injured team to the playoffs and that involves giving them all time to regain fitness. If Splitter is injured you have to rest him not let him aggravate his medical condition. Everyone has to adjust thru this transition until playoffs - just win enough games to get us there. Yeah Duncan you can even shoot threes thru this adjustment. Hopefully all will be well by the playoffs and the big 3 will perform

Last season was not without problems - do you remember Patty incredibly saving lost games as a bit player; Bay
    nes will do the same.

    Go the Spurs !!!
