Manu and Tony can't dribble?
This isn't about kawhi, this is about losing the driving lanes...
Tim Duncan has single handily ruined the spurs offense.
Anyone that is blaming Duncan is a ing moron!!
I already know that he's been bricking 3's lmao. He had an eye infection which lasted something like 1-2 months, even missing training camp, missed even more time with his broken hand. He's been interrupted for a long period of time, his rhythm isn't there at all.
It takes time to get your shot mechanics back down to where you want them, all muscle memory.
Yup..
his stat padding is a huge reason why the spurs are so bad offensively.
Lol TD post ups...disgusting.
What's the Spurs record since Kawhi came back.![]()
Too stupid to realize everybody else around him is using these methods![]()
Duncan has been by far the best Spur this year, but technically, the OP is correct, he's currently an Al Jefferson type that pads his numbers on a poor team..
or is he the one guy who's actually playing well and keeping this sorry team in playoff contention in a historically difficult west?
People Don't realize how much eating the driving lanes have ruined the offense...
The PnR that evolves to Ball movement in the perimeter relies heavily on the PnR..
Duncan is one of the worst in the leagues in both doing the PnR defensively and offensively...He's also one of the worst in terms of moving out of space when the other big is doing the PnR...
Everyone knows I've been critical of Tony but truth is, TD's PnR stat padding and his space eating is part to blame why Tony goes for jumpers instead...and why he doesn't drive to the basket anymore..
It's a huge problem that doesn't look like one in the surface because of raw stats.
Ginobili needs to be called out as well. He's been a traffic cone on defense and a turnover machine on the other end. Sad to see the team in such absolute disarray, right now.
kill yourself![]()
Duncan is pretty close to where he was at last year IMO. I really don't notice some noticeable decline from him. It's not like he was an elite PnR defender last year. He was missing his jumpers last year too. Considering he's not that different of a player this year, I see no reason why suddenly now he should be considered one of the main reasons for our ty offense.
Last year we had 6 players shooting 40+% from deep, and 8 players shooting 37+%. This year? We have 1 player shooting 40+% from deep, and only 3 players who shoot 37+%. But yeah, let's blame Duncan for the offensive struggles![]()
Moron...................
Where are the statistics backing up all your claims? Sounds like an idiot trying to bash the one guy actually giving a consistent effort on this listless team.
For someone who always is a champion of statistical evidence, you sure love talking out of your ass
Duncan in defensive PnR situations: .83 ppp allowed, 57.8 percentile
Duncan in offensive PnR situations: 1.03 ppp scored, 62.9 percentile
Splitter is crippling us atm, needs to give Duncan a breather
Those stats don't disprove my point.
This is about eating space...
Kawhi layups
worse than P
rker
We'll, he better choose a new trainer, because his vert hasn't improved since high school.
Like I told you many times before, no training method will overcome an inherent physical limitation nor will it unlock "magical" athletic powers. Kawhi is no more explosive than he was in highschool, maybe even less so because of the mass he put on.
Boom. Isn't logic fun?
That doesn't explain the defensive aspect. You said he's one of the worst defensive players in the league in terms of guarding the PnR. So explain why he's above average in terms of points he allows in PnR situations.
