Who cares? Stupid thread...
Sounds crazy but the numbers seem not to lie tbh.
Both play similar amount of minutes ~ 25.
Both have similar shooting %s (Lin is shooting better) and FGAs ~9
Both have similar assist #s ~ 4.6
Manu has better rebounding #s but Lin is better at blocks, steals and turnovers.
Both players handle the ball and do a mediocre job at it.
I'd give Manu a slight defensive advantage, at this point in his career tbh
But all in all I'd have to say they are similar player at this point. I'd still take a 15mpg under control Evita in the playoffs 99 times out of 100. But it's getting alarming.
For what's its worth, it's not a wonder we are struggling as badly tbh....
Who cares? Stupid thread...
there is an article I read that says Lin was modeling his game after Ginobili. FWIW
Players who said they model their games around Ginobili = Harden
Players who model their game after Parker = ......
Manu is 11 years older, is a bench player, and makes half Lin's salary.
to be fair prime Harden > prime Manu
Manu had the potential to be better over the course of seasons but his body wouldn't let him.
I don't see many similarities: One is Asian-American, the other is Argentine.
I see a similarity between OP and current Kawhi, tbh.... lots of shooting & missing...
thanks homie. Just calling it how it is. I think it's commendable a 37 year old bench player can still hang with a starting PG on the Lakers. especially after 8
You're welcome, these threads don't bump themselves these days...
they actually do![]()
It's sad that you have to still count on a 37 year old SG to be a big part of this team in this point of his career.
He controls the ball in the second unit. There's no choice.
The bigger travesty is that we are paying that 37 yr old sg 7 million a year just because he's mexican
off the top of my head, Lillard and Rondo both have said they watched TP a lot and wanted to model or do some of the things he does
Never go full re .

yes I heard that too. Parker was one of the first smallish PGs that would live in the paint and shoot > 50% from the field this way. Many smallish PGs emulate what Parker created.
He is playing awfully this season, but I think it's safe to say many PGs especially small ones modeled their games after him. Even the teardrop.
Here's to hoping he can regain some form.
Come to think of it, Tony Parker might be worse than Jeremy Lin
It's evident Parker is having a worse season than both Mr Obvious.
The thread is about the similarities between both said guard which is a fair comparison not about our hurting PG. But thanks for bringing parker to yet another unrelated thread I guess![]()
You're comparing them and complaining why Manu is getting 7 million while Porker is the highest paid player and is worse than both![]()
Yep... How quickly people forget.
