last i checked parker is still in the active list..
I've been just as disgusted as everyone else with the way the Spurs have been playing lately, but I believe these losses are going to fuel a run through the playoffs. Hopefully, it will be a manageable course and the Spurs will repeat as Champions for the first time in franchise history.
The team we've been watching lately hasn't lost their Basketball IQ. They are the same players who know what it takes to win a Championship. I'm calling it now. The Spurs will turn this thing around and make another memorable playoff run. Tony may never return to the same form he had last year but they'll make do anyways. Once they establish a rhythm and gain some momentum, look out. It's going to be a return to having fun, making plays, shaking this funk off and getting the "W"'s.
Let's do this.![]()

Hope you're right. But if not, so be it. It's been an unbelievable run.
their next 10 are all winnable. If they go atleast 7-3, then they will be in good shape. Worse than that and we are looking at no HCA the entire playoffs.
Amen brother!
Parker is still on the Spurs. Shots aren't falling. Defense has been atrocious. The Spurs with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named on the roster would go in raw against today's pathetic team.

I'm with you. It's not just Tony. Lots of guys missing shots or not playing well, and we all know they can give you at the very least good to great play.
We've been saying this for two months now. I would put it more between "this thing better ing turn around soon" and " it we can flip the switch in the playoffs" with a slight chance of "thank we ringed last year".
I have a feeling the focus is going to come back. The rest of the team will lift Parker's play. I admit, its just a feeling and based more on the character of the team than anything else. These guys don't like losing, they have pride and are compe ive. There's another level they can get to and they will.
This whole Spurs season reminds me of the James Brown cape flourish stunt he used to do on stage.
Towards the end of the show, Brown pretends he's too tired to continue, the emcee puts a cape around his shoulders to walk him off the stage, and suddenly, James Brown would whip the cape off with new found energy and enthusiastically finish the set with a pumped up motivation:
"As he was escorted off the stage, Brown – seemingly exhausted – would shake off the cape and continue, solidifying his reputation as the hardest-working man in show business."

That'd be so ing epic.
Pretty much covers the field for almost all Spurs fans, tbh.
not yet. not yet.
Spurs are losing both or 1 of the next 2 road games.
As I said before all we need to look forward in the rest of the road trip is to not get an injury. Get back home, Pop needs to summon his re ed assistant coaches and decide on some serious , the players need to go home and decompress. the first 5 games of the home stretch next week will decide the season.
It was. I saw James Brown himself do it on stage. Kinda hoping I get to see the 14-15 Spurs do the routine as well here though.
the next should be easy money. The ship has not sunk. I think the cliff jumpers are pre-mature ...however there are legit concerns that rest, easier schedule and home cookin' wont fix it will only cover-up. Diaw and TP are the biggest concerns but KL, Gino and others have had their struggles too.
This is so great
Great call!I feel good! I knew that I would now.
Beautiful! That would be awesome.
BBiq is great but doesn't make you any faster. Spurs look like the slowest least athletic team in the league right now
lolz @ the parker jokes... people are really, really sad....
But re: the thread... I agree!

The Spurs have always been slow and the least athletic never bothered them before. Just need to get that first win by hook or crook only takes a spark to start a fire.
^^^^^ This TBH.Great post, all true.
That's what makes good ball movement so important. You can gain an advantage on the defense with ball movement to get the "great" shot instead of forcing things when covered.
