Every single 1st round opponent would be tough. Spurs move to 6 they play the Rockets. Up to 5 you play Portland. 4 you get Dallas. (Assuming all stays as is). Just gotta get hot at the right time, tbh.
HCA in the first round would matter. If they can't get to fourth then they should tank to 6th or 7th. At this point I just want them to make the playoffs, however.
As long as we don't get the 8th seed and play the Warriors in the first, then I think we will be fine if healthy. I can see a 3 vs 6 matchup with Dallas again in the first round.
Ehh I still think we have a realistic shot at 4th seed, and it'd be nice to at least have HCA for one round. And I definitely wouldn't want to drop down to 8th and have to face GS in the opening round.
As for the difference between 5-7th seed, nah, I don't think there's a big differece. I guess it'd affect who we'd be playing in the 2nd round...but like you said, no matter what it'll be tough. I really wouldn't mind playing Memphis in the first round...they've improved, but I still feel like we match up well with them.
If you get the 4th you get the winner of dubs/okc in the 2nd round. that.(assuming okc stays at 8)
Yeah, seeding matters. We're probably ed if we finish anywhere below 4th. Can't recall many teams winning four straight series in a row without homecourt in the playoffs.
No seeding doesn't matter. Although I would love HCA in the 1st Round.
It's the Western Conference....there are no easy match-ups.
3rd seed would be ideal but it seems almost out of reach with all the losses we ac ulated in the past week
I just don't want to get bounced in the 1st. I don't believe this team can repeat.
Man, we need to move east.![]()
Considering how bad they've played on the road this season, HCA matters more than ever...

Me neither. Just don't want to go out to a group of gots like the Warriors or Rockets.
They'd have to face either to get to the Finals, and they'd be at their most vulnerable after beating the out of each other in the first round. Getting the 4th seed at least gives them the best chance of getting out of the first round.
, that would pissed me off so bad.
The spurs play Houston two in a row in the last week of the season..If they are 2 behind houston by then, they would still have a chance...They are 5 behind on the lost column
and houston..
Houston has a tough 10 game stretch...Lebron, Hawks, Memphis, Pistons, @nuggets, @Jazz, @Blazers, @LA, Nuggets, Suns..
It's possible. Hope they can put together a win streak starting with the back-to-back tomorrow
yeah kawhi looks good and Manu had a decent game..
The more important thing is that Tiago is back in the starting lineup.
Agreed. I have nothing against Baynes but the guy's a mediocre big man. 4th big in the rotation is his ceiling in this league. One of Tiago or Boris should be starting with Timmy at all times.
It doees not matter when your team ranking 9th to 15th
Obviously HCA is ideal, so ya, I'd say seeding matters..in regards to matchups, if Howard is still out for the playoffs, Houston and choking Harden would be fine, as well as a Mavs team that isn't very good..Memphis will be tough, but the Spurs match up well with them, if everybody is healthy..
I'd like to avoid Portland(the most ref-assisted home team in the NBA) and Golden State in the 1st round, tbh..
Who cares about seedings right now....just start playing some good basketball
baynes was solid tonight...he' a dunk machine
