Yes, that is because Cavs have a free ride to the finals.

That is twice the chance of the second team, Golden State Warriors.
As predicted, once they worked out the kinks and pulled off an amazing mid-season trade that got them a legit center AND wing defenders, Cavs on paper has far and away the strongest roster in the NBA, with the possible exception of a fully healthy Thunder.
I don't see Hawks stopping them from getting to the finals, good team but missing the Spurs vengeance and Duncan leadership aura to be great.
Warriors? I feel Cavs is a hard counter for them.
Say what you want, but LeBron is truly the first player in NBA history to hit GM status when he is still playing. As great as Jordan was, he never had the control of the team LeBron has today on the Cavs. I also don't believe Jordan can beat LeBron 1v1 given LeBron's unfair combination of speed and power, NFL style' drives to the basket.
Jordan owes a lot to Duncan and Spurs for stopping LeBron twice in the finals, can someone else step up and stop LeBron this year?
Yes, that is because Cavs have a free ride to the finals.
Jordan also played GM in 1997/98 when Krause tried to trade Pippen and they won the le. Just not so much effective when he's the actual GM.
A lot of these global icons of sport can moonlight into being GMs and directors because their star power, positive net effect on the team and the influence they wield affect how their employers (front office) make their decisions.
If you were a GM who could dictate where the best player played and what conference your team played in, you'd be pretty successful by default. So rather than credit Lebron the GM i'd say Lebron the coach is more impressive. The cavs had good talent but poor iden y, motivation, etc. Trading Wiggins is a big mistake but not costly given the talent they retained.
Without conferences I'd put Golden state, a healthy OKC, and maybe Memphis ahead of Lebron's team. Those eastern conference training wheels are powerful stuff.
In fairness to Jordan, that 2006 draft is one of the worst class in recent history. The first pick was Bargnani and the 4th player picked after Adam Morrison was Tyrus Thomas who was then followed by Shelden Williams at # 5. Blazers drafted pretty well tho.
Plus Ammo was a beast in Gonzaga, maybe not Top 5 pick material but nobody knew he would lose confidence that quick at the pro level.
Still had Roy on the board, and everyone knew he'd be a star.
From that 2006 Draft, only LMA and Gay remain relevant in the top 10 picks. Wow that draft class was a steaming hot pile of . It would've had some redeeming factor if Roy didn't have a fragile body.
LeHype wouldn't win with Kwame, Puke Walton, Smush, Brian Cook, and Mihm either. If he gets tons of help? Then threads like this get created. :yawningPERIOD:
And how do you substantiate this claim? The only thing we know about this cast is that kirby was incapable of elevating these players games like the great ones do ( Duncan, Shaq, mvPau)
He made the Finals with Sasha Pavlovic, Boobie Gibson, old ass Ilagauskas, and Varejao. And you're forgetting Snitch had prime Odom and Caron Butler back when he was good.
Neither of those 3 would have won with those "NBA players" either. GTFson.

Your didn't even make the playoffs one year with more help than LeBron had in his Finals run![]()
Kobe the only star who ever had a so-so supporting cast
![]()
Yeah, in the WC. There's a reason LeHype is staying east. He knows what's up.![]()
it's funny because cleveland has as many losses as we do..
You clowning, but when they both played, Kobe 4, Jim 2 H2H.![]()
Kirby shouldn't have run off Shaq and Phil if he wasn't good enough to carry a team, Ronaldo![]()
LOL Duncan made the WCF with a supporting cast of old ass Robinson, Antonio Daniels, and a finished Terry Porter and Danny Ferry. Meanwhile Kobe makes the lottery with prime Odom and prime Butler.![]()
Paul Millsap #47 and Rondo #21 do stand out though.. Some solid role players too
Npe - WTF did Odumb or Butler do before or after Kobe? Horse t has done just as much!
