Yes, this has clearly occupied Iran. They have a big stake in the Middle East being dominated by Shiites. But, they can continue to address producing a weapon. And the radicals that can have a big say in that country will not hesitate to get back to the long term enemy, Israel.
Iran is strange because there is a rather significant Western slanted educated population that is fairly young and actually wants a democracy. They just don't want to be associated with the US. And if the Islamic fervor rises, this group usually gets punched in the face.
