An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released yesterday found that by a margin of 48%-30%, registered voters said that John Boehner should have talked to President Obama before inviting Netanyahu.

CNN poll found overwhelming opposition to the way that Speaker Boehner handled the invitation. Sixty-three percent of respondents felt that it was a bad move for Boehner to invite Netanyahu without giving Obama a head’s up, and only 52% of Republicans supported Boehner not notifying Obama first before inviting Netanyahu.

the Republican behavior has helped to solidify some support behind the president.

    Seriously?

Have you looked up the author?

I would not doubt BB has lied, but I would believe BB before that crap you wowed about.
I don't think the author lied about the Netanyahu quotes. I have heard a few of them myself over the years.

Like French previous PM Sardozky said about him: "I can't look at him in the face(bibi) anymore, he's a damned liar"

    btw props to Nancy Pelosi

she had the most genuine reaction to the Bibi condescending speech. Finally someone that loves america

of course #1 Bibi fluffer Lyndsay Graham had to go on the attack on Pelosi to defend his #1 love:
"Did you see Nancy Pelosi on the floor? Complete disgust," Graham said, according to Josh Rogin of Bloomberg View. "If you can get through all the surgeries, there's disgust."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to address the U.S. Congress tomorrow about the perils of striking a nuclear deal with Iran. Netanyahu, not generally known for his measured rhetoric, has been vociferous in his public statements about the dangers of such compromise, warning that it will allow Iran to “rush to the bomb” and that it amounts to giving the country “a license” to develop nuclear weapons.

It is worth remembering, however, that Netanyahu has said much of this before. Almost two decades ago, in 1996, Netanyahu addressed a joint session of Congress where he darkly warned, “If Iran were to acquire nuclear weapons, this could presage catastrophic consequences, not only for my country, and not only for the Middle East, but for all mankind,” adding that, “the deadline for attaining this goal is getting extremely close.”

Almost 20 years later that deadline has apparently still not passed, but Netanyahu is still making dire predictions about an imminent Iranian nuclear weapon. Four years before that Congressional speech, in 1992, then-parliamentarian Netanyahu advised the Israeli Knesset that Iran was “three to five years” away from reaching nuclear weapons capability, and that this threat had to be “uprooted by an international front headed by the U.S.”

In his 1995 book, “Fighting Terrorism,” Netanyahu once again asserted that Iran would have a nuclear weapon in “three to five years,” apparently forgetting about the expiration of his old deadline.

Rousing the rabble by fabricating external threats for fun, profit, self-preservation, it's what conservatives always do.

You really thought Pelosi had a sane reaction to Bibi?

“That is why, as one who values the U.S. – Israel relationship, and loves Israel, I was near tears throughout the Prime Minister’s speech – saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States as part of the P5 +1 nations, and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation.

Stop their production of bomb grade Uranium.
Stunex set Iran back a bit. Israel will have some plan to stop the enrichment, directly or indirectly. If it comes to dropping in special forces and losing a bunch of men, I would not put this past BB. He just needs the right timing. This starts with making Iran look like more excessive trouble causers than they really are in the eyes of the US citizenry.

    My guess.

CIA was the original troublemaker in Iran, 60 years ago. Iran of today is a direct result, pushback from USA toppling Iran's govt, and that was all about oil then, too.

Boehner Invites Man Who Hated Obama in High School to Address Congress

WASHINGTON —House Speaker John Boehner has scheduled a joint session of Congress in April to hear an address by Kevin Laggett, a man who is on record as having hated President Obama in high school.

Boehner, who personally extended the invitation to Laggett, said that he did not consult with the President before contacting his high-school nemesis.

“This has nothing to do with the President,” Boehner said. “Many of us in Congress are very interested in what Mr. Laggett has to say.”

According to a source who attended high school with both men, Laggett’s antipathy for the President began when Obama was chosen over him for the post of sports editor on the school newspaper. “Kevin has totally despised him ever since,” the source said.

Reached in Honolulu, where he works as an assistant manager at Applebee’s, Laggett said that his speech to Congress would steer clear of personal issues between him and Obama.

“I’m going to leave that stuff at the door,” he said. “I’m just going to talk about the job he’s doing as President, which he’s screwing up pretty bad, in my opinion.”

At the White House, the President responded testily when asked if he intended to watch Laggett’s speech. “Kevin is a tool,” he said.

The CIA only helped it out. It was policy. Get the Shah in power, Keep the Shah in power.
Carter understood this well. Until it got too hot.

    Ok.

So you want the U.S. back into attack mode again at the expense of some random part of the US citizenry. Got it.
Its not like it brought the economy to a halt like it would in Russia. It's not like a large portion of the US would really feel it. If these rather sterile wars suit your taste, so be it. Wars that are fought for as long as Afghanistan that involve a small % actually taking the direct hit can be handled by the U.S.

America is a worse off place across the board since 9/11. The only people incapable of noticing are those that never step foot outside North America. Israel attacking Iran would be a reflection on USA being in attack mode. Russia held it's ally Egypt in check before the Six Days War.

I personally enjoy seeing Americans return handicapped and mentally insane (American Sniper killer)

im out of N. America quite often.
Eastern Europe and Russia are pure trash.
The standard of living is quite sad.

I guess Russians dying in Ukraine without the families even knowing it is better... Being forced to go to Ukraine and then disappearing is your cup of tea.
