Spurs aren't giving him a player option for next season either, so let's move on.

What is the story with Ray Allen? Is he signing with any team at this point for the playoffs? Is it even worth it now for the Spurs to pursue if they could?
Eh, he'd only eat minutes away from Green or Manu who are both much better than him. Spurs have enough three point shooters anyway - they just need to start knocking 'em down.

The Spurs still have their mid level exception (3.2 million of it) and the BI exception that they can use that to sign him to a multi-year deal.

The Raps have their bi-annual exception and they have $2.8 in MLE left.

For every other team on that list, i think its all vet. min deals remaining.

Spurs should do it, I don't care how dumb he comes across in some of those Shaqin a fool plays. He needs to learn from somewhere and the fact that he is 7 feet, 27 years old it's a no brainer. Take the chance.

    Agree

All I can remember about Javale were in the dunk contest-the first ever 3- ball stuffing who made it to the Guiness (), and
    his 12 blocks-game in 2011() ...

But Is he worth it? :rolleye

Wouldn't be surprised if the Mavs take him, it seems like they're attempting to assemble the most random, poorly-built roster in recent West playoff history..[/QUOTE]

They do have history.See 2004 Mavs.

He'd be the shiny new toy for the Parker, Manu, and Splitter haters.

i'm guessing he'd either sign with bad team or the Heat/ Raptors.

GSW has 3 locks in their big rotation (Green, Bogut, & Lee) Speights has played well and McGee would have to compete with him for minutes and GSW will probably use several small ball lineups, come postseason.

The Mavs aren't going to have many minutes come playoff time behind Dirk, Chandler and Amare with maybe Aminu in small ball lineups.

The Bulls probably make the least amount of sense of those playoff teams. They already have the best big man rotation in the league with Gasol, Noah, Gibson (both of them inconsistent this season) and Mirotic. He'd be the 5th big or at-best 4th. With Thibs giving heavy minutes to his starters that is probably even less appealing.

The Raps could have a role. Their top 3 is Johnson, V, and Patterson with James Johnson playing combo forward. Their GM gave McGee that big contract when both were in Denver.

If he were to come here he'd be competing with Baynes as the 4th big that's probably 13-15 minutes in the playoffs and 16-18 minutes in the regular season.

"Most likely, McGee will end up some place else. But the Mavericks are in the conversation."
