Manu made up for 2013 and I'm sure it was a huge relief for him. Game 5 was amazing, especially during that comeback stretch, then you had Patty raining 3s in the 3rd and Manu adding onto it.

Hopefully Parker redeems this awful season, by playing well in the playoffs.
I agree on Manu last year, he was pretty good in the playoffs and finals and did redeem his horrible season/playoffs from the year before somewhat. I hope Parker shows for the playoffs, we need him to show.

Parker is in the league bottom in true RPM numbers amongst all PGs this year in the NBA, but lets keep pretending he is the go to guy and play him heavy minutes.

I actually think he didn't get enough credit and praise for his 2014 playoffs and especially his Finals performance, being 36 and all... Just re-watched games 3, 4 and 5 last night, and he was an absolute stud.

Game 5 was just throwback Manu night. Got the crowd into it with a couple of baskets and that tussle with Battier. Then the dunk after taking the lead and capping the run with a three pointer in the 3rd quarter that basically sealed the deal. The magic was in the air at AT&T Center again.

I think what happens is that we take a lot for granted with these guys...
You can say that again (so I'll just post it again).

That game 6 three against OKC was probably the biggest shot of the playoffs. Definitely the most rewatched Spurs game in recent memory for me. The Miami series was icing on the cake. Spurs got revenge for 2012's backdoor sweep and 2013's 6 - can't ask for a more satisfying playoff run.

Here’s Parker via Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports:

“I’ve been through a lot of tough challenges in my career,” Parker said. “Right now, this is up there.”
    […]

“I have not been the same since I came back, and it’s still bothering me,” he said. “Everybody knows. I am not going to use that as an excuse. I am just going to work it out until it gets better.”
    […]

“I am just trying to work it through it,” Parker said. “Hopefully, it will be good pretty soon. At the same time, it’s tough because the whole team is struggling and I’m struggling. It’s a tough time right now.”

With the spurs up 20 points, and knowing he is 12 points away from the number 1 scorer..Parker took 8 shots in the third to up his total to 19 points..

    Such a compe or..

Reminds me of kobe and his Goal playing alongside Shaq..

Aint no one going to have a career night when these two compe ive scorers are playing.

HMM, i've detected a new trend in Parker hate. It's called shifting goalposts. Several weeks ago Parkers sin was casting gloom over the lockeroom and committing unspecified bro crimes against player's wives and girlfriends.

They've attacked his efficiency. So when Tony, KwHi and the spurs team have a decent game the sin for parker is that he did not score the points in a timely way as if points were worth more when teams are within striking distance.

There is definitely a case that being able to score points in crunchtime is a valuable skill. But in this regular season game crunch time really didn't happen. Points are points guys, keeping leads is just as important as building them.

But anyway, kudos to APo for reusing an old thread instead of creating new one. You are learning boy.

Tony's playing better, but I'd rather he dribbled less, and looked more to create for others, and take for himself whatever opens up.

As Coach said in Hoosiers, "don't shoot until after 4 passes" aka ball movement, not Tony movement.

Can't wait to see Parker get back to form. His go-left jumper was working last night and he was getting the roll on his floater. Tim did a good job of holding off defenders to give him space. I'm confident he will be the Parker we need to have a shot at another deep run.

Actually, he did start a new thread, but the short bus cried to the admins to get it merged into this one. Meanwhile, it can be open season on every other player in here without the admins stepping in.

Manu after the Finals 2 years ago took a waaaaay worse beating. This is nothing.

but that was during a 4 year champ drought. It's just way weird to see so much parker hate after a rare and beautiful championship. Add to the fact that a certain group of canandian heads are the pied piper of the group and you can see how dumb it is.
