.he's still the same player that had one of the worst playoff runs in championship history last year.
For someone who cares about stats its rather sad to hang your hat on this argument, Love the 20 game sample size, very career defining. Very astute to point out that defenses can shut down a point guard if they choose.

One of the worst playoff runs? Oh, the one where he led the Spurs in scoring and assists on 49% shooting throughout the playoffs?

    Was loving his team play.
Interview afterwords, Parkers scoffing at the notion that some of his slump could have been mental. Not good.
If his slump was all injury, like Parker would like us to believe, he shouldn't have been playing.
    Not buying.
I think he is still full of himself and needs to be monitored by Pop 2014 Championship version.
    Great game today tho.

Hahahaha, a 14/32 loss is better than a 13/19 win?

don't act like Phoenix after trading Dragic and Thomas are as decent as they were before. Current Bulls > current Suns
The Bulls without Rose, Butler and Gibson are a below average team, at best..they're probably worse than those Suns considering the Suns were @ home vs. the Spurs..

Just stop posting this lie over, and over, again.

I posted this earlier in the year, it remains pertinent:

"Parker did not have negative on/off metrics in the 2014 playoffs. Of the 23 playoff games, Parker had negative on/off numbers in 8 of them. Please don't be a tool and listen to tools, but refer to actual game-by-game stats:

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/.../gamelog/2014/

These stats will show what informed posters have been saying for a while. Parker's issue has been consistency.

Parker as well had some excellent games in the 2014 playoffs, and there is no le without him. He was +32 in Game 2 against OKC. He was +20 in pivotal Game 5 against Dallas.

Except for Game 6 OKC, the Spurs lost every game in which TP9 had negative on/off numbers. So if that isn't perfect evidence the Spurs need a healthy TP, then then nothing is.

There is no question in my mind that Tony's inconsistency is health related. It is an open question as to whether he can regain his former speed (or get close enough). But to the doubters, remember how Manu looked with all his maladies and injuries since 2009. We thought he was completely done in 2013, and yet he had a strong 2014 and an amazing Finals and Semi-Finals."

    game-by-game stats

He was one of the only starters in league history to win a le with a negative BPM..literally, one of 5 starting PGs in the history of the league..

Why was Parker the only Spur that suffered in that regard?

Honestly incredible to see the excuses and the 'but, but, but' lines that Parker haters come up with when he has a good game. They cannot help themselves; their hatred is so intense they would rather watch the team they SAY they root for lose or struggle than acknowledge that the teams' point guard had a great game.

When you piss on a player after the kind of performance that TP had today, you really are the definition of a excuse for a fan.

You literally rely on math you do not understand. You are the poster-boy for today's ignorant. BPM, already a stat that makes presumptions that are impossible to test (and therefore unknowable), is useless for a small sample size.

Ignoring your stupidity and bias, just answer this question..why were the numbers biased against Parker, and not every other player in the history of the league? Why was Parker the only Spurs player that was affected by the flawed formula? ..

mathematical formulas are only biased against Tony Parker now
literally every advanced metric has Parker as a below average player in last year's playoffs
Parker is the only player in the history of the league that is hated by numbers, apparently

Of all the ty posters on SpursTalk, I have never seen one use as many cliches as you, without being able to defend his point to any extent, tbh..

Harlem is a dude from Canada who pussed out and ran away like a little when timvp threatened to post his picture.

He is a total idiot. Parker was vital to the finals, he just sees numbers and gets excited

I guess being the worst player on an all time historical great team is going to screw up Tony's hall of fame chance. Once again, nobody can read stats like Harlem.

Being a happy casual fan is sooooooo embarrasing, I really need to try harder to be keyboard warrior who thinks up clever ways to pick and choose stats

Yeah I wasn't really seeing how the Spurs had a chance without him. There's certain intangibles that he brings when he's at his best that stats don't really show. Plus I trust Pop to know how to run his team. In Pop I trust.
