I will say that a ton of folks don't know the first thing about these stats. That goes both for those who regurgitate bad stats and for those who throw out unsubstantiated criticisms of those stats.
I'd be interested in reading your take on a PG that has high assists on a team that doesn't average a lot of assists per game. Does it mean the PG is a great ball distributor?

Depends on both the skills of the individual players around the PG and the positions the players are in when they get the ball. It's possible for the guy to be Boris Diaw out there with a bunch of ISO guys or non-passers like Green or Bonner.

Um, you're ignoring minutes played, and more importantly, I don't lean heavily on anything..Parker's advanced metrics were all terrible in the playoffs, he ranked last or 2nd last in virtually every number among Spurs rotation players..

When I'm looking at these numbers, I'm not looking at them individually, nor am I looking at the individual leader, etc..I'm looking for notable numbers that stand out among everything, and Parker's BPM number stands out because it's behind the rest of the team by an astronomical amount, and it's historically bad for a player on a championship team..
What specific advanced metrics? Looking at the +/- he played ok in all the games the spurs won. Legit confused here.

    also, what is BPM?

BPM is per 100 possessions. Do you really know how BPM works and what it stands for?

Comparing any advanced metric of a low-minute player to a high-minute player is always going to be flawed when extrapolating, regardless of whether it's measured by 100 possessions, obviously..

Parker's advanced on/off metrics from last year(any one that you choose) are all extremely bad when you compare him to the other Spurs' rotation players that played a similar amount of minutes as him, as well as played in similar 3/4/5-man units as him..it's not like I'm comparing him to Joseph, or even a fringe rotation player(in last year's playoffs) like Belinelli..

Even your beloved WS has him as a mediocre player last year, IIRC..

Splitter would have to be on his A-game to beat the Warriors, too..

Duncan was completely exposed in the 2013 series against them IIRC..it wouldn't be any different this time, Curry at the top is a matchup nightmare against any team with slow bigs, especially a big that can't exploit them on the offensive end(which Duncan can't do vs. Bogut)..

I know it happened quite often when he was our only go to guy but calling him that way all the time seems like diminishing what he accomplished...

I don't need to lose myself about it, I personaly don't care, but I find it pathetic that his own fan mock him on a regular basis

And btw I think Manu (who is my fav of the big3) was even more enrique-ish when he was the man...

    anyway..

I have no arguments with Parker playing poorly last year, which he obviously did. The problem is your apparent misunderstanding of BPM.

Splitter wasn't a fringe player who played 3 minutes a game. He was a starter for parts of the playoffs and played critical roles in several series. The fact that he was above players like Kawhi and duncan showed how useless a stat BPM is.

Btw, I believe green was #2 on the team in BPM during the playoffs. Green played heavy minutes.
