Without a doubt, the Spurs' most important player ever since his first year. If Spurs didn't make that draft day trade in the year he was drafted, this team wouldn't have had the chance to reach the Finals or even reach the conference finals. The team would have been a 2nd-round-at-best playoff team.

You do realize that in Kawhi's first year we swept our way to the WCF with Kawhi averaging 7.9/5.1 in the regular season and 8.6/5.9 in the playoffs right? You realize he was our team's 11th highest scorer that season, correct?
If you want to say he was an integral part of us reaching the WCF in other years, I'm good with that...but you don't think we would have beaten the Jazz or Clippers without him (even though we swept them both)?

Kawhi Leonard: 21.5 ppg on 16.5 FGA in 35.2 MPG
Tony Parker: 20.5 ppg on 16.2 FGA in 30.0 MPG
So Parker scoring 1 PPG less on less shots and 5+ less minutes per game. Sorry the numbers don't validate your claims...
This is a good thread, not much agenda, except it may be sentimental, it may be old fashioned vanilla big three fan, but maybe Duncan is the best player still. Although if he were to go down, splitter is still good, but if kawhi went down well it's basically broom time.
This is just based on defense and leadership. But, if your being real, dude can't even hit shots anymore should probably retire after that last game.

Parker has also been playing great the last few games
He is very important, but much of his success is predicated on the foundation the big 3 establish, he gets to work from there instead of Minnesota bottom low.
