Kevin Murray told The Dallas Morning News that though DeMarco feels "hurt" right now that the Cowboys haven't made a stronger offer to keep him, his son hasn't made up his mind yet on where he will play next season.
"My impression from talking to him this morning is that he loves his coach, he loves his teammates and the Dallas fans," Kevin Murray said, "but he's just hurt that something hasn't happened to lure him not to take the trip right now."
Kevin Murray said his son is still wrestling with the decision on where to play next season and "absolutely" he hasn't closed the door on the Cowboys. Kevin Murray said his son plans to give the Cowboys another chance to make another offer before he makes a final decision.

Also, the Eagles. I hate them that much more for targeting our players when it makes no sense personnel wise. Murray doesn't fit that gimmicky offense.

The while situation sucks. It's all about the money at the end of the day. Jerry ed around way too long for an offer not to be made to a player like Demarco.

Demarco wants his money, can't fault him for that. He just shouldn't be expecting the same amount of success. The only way he can have success is if that system flukes out a few good games for him. Looking at what they have under center and catching balls, he's going to struggle big time.
jerry made demarco offers but he made them within the cap and using common sense. it was going to cost 8-9 mil a year for demarco and we don't have the money to offer him a deal like that. that. that was the cowboys of old and contracts like that ed us up(marion barber).

good luck demarco but we'll be aight. melvin gordon or gurley please.

Lol Cowboys of old. The same ones that gave a kicker a 22 million dollar deal.

According to reports, it seems like the #Eagles could be offering DeMarco Murray more than most expected. Likely around $8 to $10 million.

Goddamn I hate the Eagles. We knew we were probably losing Demarco(best season of course was a contract year, seen that story play out way too many times), but wow, they got rid of Shady because they didn't wanna pay him, just to sign Demarco to this re ed deal. They deserve the ty times that are ahead of them.

matthews is made of glass. i think justin forsett is still out there and we need to draft a running back in the 1st 2 rounds, preferbly a 1st.

Sam Bradford makes zero sense in that offense, and then they bring in a back without the shake and bake it takes to be productive in that offense. Stupid stupid moves.

Damn. He was the MVP of last year--him and that O-line. What about CJ Spiller? Then draft someone like Gordon or Gurley? That seems like a reasonable plan.

That O line was the big difference IMO, he is good but that line was vicous. They know they can plug someone behind that line and get 1400 out of him, probably Randle or someone else in the draft. Keeping Dez was the big part IMO and they did.

That's not how it works. You can't plug anybody behind a good line and expect big numbers.

I think it was a wise move by the cowboys to let Murray go. If Jones locks in and signs Murray to the contract he wanted, they're handcuffed to make any more moves this offseason and might likely lose Bryant next year.

If he does leave, the cowboys definitely won't be able to completely replace his production.

but do they really need to? If they can get just decent run production from that position, i think they'll be in the same spot as last year.

    No need to overpay him.

Randle broke 20 yard runs like every time he touched the ball behind that line. Wide open spaces.

But can he carry it 20 times a game for 12+ games? Dunno.
