Have to agree, it does feel like a lot of the time the Spurs find a way to lose these all-time great games though, annoying.
Just like the 3-OT game vs. Memphis earlier in the season, this was one of the most entertaining games in NBA history, doesn't really mean anything in the long run, tbh..Spurs competed well, they outplayed them for most of the game, but Irving had one of the greatest games in NBA history..
As an NBA fan, Spurs aside, it was a historically great game, have to appreciate, tbh..

Spurs would had lost by 40 three weeks ago so it's good to see the fight and the improvement is there.we've also seen them choke before and respond back so whatever.

There definitely was improvement tonight, but I'm so ing sick of losing these kind of games. Especially considering Houston and Memphis lost to ty teams today.

We already knew Belinelli can't play against good teams, Spurs shouldn't guard Irving with a PG and let him get hot, and the Cavs bench is terrible..
Ultimately, you live with the 4th best PG in the NBA scoring 57 points on 7/7 from 3-point range in an OT game
Irving won't have another performance like that, sometimes dudes just go off. Not really worried, Spurs look damn good.

Nothing great about this choke job. Will do nothing but demoralize an already fringe playoff team. Leonard is anti-clutch when it matters most. Not worth a max deal.

Yeah, but coming off a championship it's really hard to make that claim. There's no all time great games in March. These are meaningless games, Spurs wouldn't have gained much ground in the West. You can't say a defending champ with 5 rings always finds a way to lose great games. Or maybe your definition of "great game" is different than mine. There was a lot of back and forth, some hero ball on both ends and some of it was successful but still hero ball. The defense at times was bad, but at times was stifling. It just so happens that that bad times happened when Patty and Marco were on the floor together.

You can see it in his eyes, on his face. He didn't want that burden at that time, he wanted Marco to have it. Superstars relish those moments, come through. Kawhi isn't a superstar but goddamn he's a of a good player.
