tbf he's a pretty relentless slasher that purposely exposes the ball and does get hacked regularly. It's not like he's a jump shooter like KD.

won't work in the postseason against elite defenders/defenses though. I don't think his chokejob in the Finals vs the Heatles was a coincidence.

People accusing me of being trolls on completely different sites now, it's getting ridiculous.

And the fact that people think someone so dependent on the officiating is deserving of MVP is a joke.

For his career Harden has just over 7 FTA pg. Jordan had 8.2 and spent a few years above 10. Harden is at 9.8. Let's not revise history so that the greats didn't get to the line an inordinate amount of times.

Close to 25% of Mike's total points were from the FT line.

So an LA fan rooting for LA teams is your "proof"? Wow, I guess I'm pretty much every LA fan on RealGM, then.

I've now been accused of being Harlem, DoK, mid, and 90% of RealGM

But he didn't falter in the playoffs repeatedly and won 2 3peats.

Uh yes Jordan did falter in the playoffs repeatedly early in his career.

So then say Harden hasn't won 2 3peats. The issue was the FTs, not the team's success.

Mj got calls no doubt about it ... and game was more physical then too ...
However MJ was a iphone 6 (or Galaxy 5) vs. a bunch of RIM blackberries. When you see MJ especially from mid 80's to early 90's no one outside of nique and maybe Drexler are in his class as an athlete. Crazy thing about Harden he is nothing like MJ, Lebron or even Westbrook. He is like a cross /hybrid between Paul Pierce, Grant Hill (post-injury) and Gilbert Arenas (prime) and the flop era Manu. he is not strongest fastest or quickest but you cant stop him from getting where he wants. And he does exaggerate fouls and plays to contact. Not his fault refs bite on dat ...

That's all fine and good but the point remains, Harden isn't getting to the line more than other superstars have. No one has argued that Harden is anywhere near Jordan or other superstars of the past. Why are you guys moving goalposts? The numbers are there.

Each player plays in the era in which they were drafted. They play under those rules with that officiating. Whatever gets the player to the line more often is what needs to be investigated. The players themselves have only tapped into it.

Granted, Harden probably gets a higher percentage of his points from the line than others have, but that's also because he doesn't score as often away from it as they did. When it stops producing they'll stop using it. I don't think it will translate to a ring. In Mike's highest FTA years I think he tapped out before the Finals. What it says is that a team is too reliant on one guy getting to the line.

Just as a reference. I hear too often people talk about how the team was almost as good without Mike. They weren't. Some also seem to think Mike never missed a ring, he did. Still some think the Bulls had one real good season and the rest were struggles. You can see that they were right up there about 4 times.

Again I dont disagree and think he is being smart by taking advantage of the current refs. All superstars get calls . And even if I was iffy on him being one before this year (now he is a legit MVP candidate) he definitely gets treated like one if he is not one ...
