Since you've long since been banned from public pools I'll be sure you get the report.

Put your apron back on and continue serving crumpetts.

Atlanta just lost to Philly. Golden State almost just lost to the Lakers, at home.

Let's be more worried about 3+ game losing streaks to good teams as opposed to an off night in NY (don't forget the team likely had a night in town before the game).

Golden State and Atlanta were resting their entire first team pretty much... Spurs were at full strength, minus Manu. Can't compare them. Atlanta and Golden State are actual contenders, the Spurs aren't.

Let's be completely honest about this. The Spurs just lost to a team whose only goal for the rest of the season has been to loose their remaining games to get the #1 pick.

That's management's goal. Players want to win. Fish and pj probably want to win against us specifically. I mean, it's clear the more athletic team won tonight. Doesn't mean they'd win a seven game series against us. At home, with at least one reliable shooter (preferably not Marco) the spurs win by 20. Without Manu, without green and mills, with several players coasting, we lose.

Nothing new in basketball happened lastnight. God bless the team, the season goes on.

The same thing happened on St. Patrick's Day in 2007, when a full-strength Spurs squad dropped a very similar home game to a Celtics team that was terrible and openly tanking to get a shot at Oden/Durant.

For that matter, the 2013 Spurs dropped a home game around this same time of the year by 30 to a Portland team that finished 33-49.

I'm not saying that the future for the 2015 Spurs will be the same as it turned out for the 2007 Spurs, but a loss like that one (as bad as it seems) doesn't necessarily mean doom.

Bad losses happen and one got the Spurs last night, who paid for treating that game -- from top to bottom -- as a formality.

no one gives a about the loss. it's about the seeding at this point.

This doesn't make sense. Losses determine seeding. I get what you're saying though, you want the spurs to gas out, play injured Manu, and Iso kawhi till it bleeds, all to maybe get home court in one round.

I'm exaggerating, but a loss in March is a loss anytime. We know this team can be mentally tough from last year, we know they may not be based on last night and several other games this year. Nbd.

You don't even have to go that far back. We lost to the Knicks just last year, and they were terrible last year as well.

at this point, i think they are just trying to dodge the GSW bracket side. maybe they don't think they can make it up to #3 and are trying to stay in 6/7 to avoid 4/5?

Again, it's not about losing to the Knicks, it's about seeding. Last nights game should of been put away by mid 3rd qtr.

This. The Spurs went 16-0 last March and everything was clicking with a top western conference seed. Not so much the case this season.

This Knicks team is much worse than those teams and the stakes are MUCH higher for the Spurs right now.

Exactly. If the Spurs were in the top 2 seeds right now, with a few games ahead of the next place team then no one would call this a meltdown after a Knicks loss. But the Spurs are 1-6 in Overtime... They are anti-clutch right now. All 6 of those losses could have been EASILY avoided if they could hit their free throws. We'd have another banner hanging and T-Mac would have a ring if the Spurs were just average in crunchtime... But let's face it, the Spurs are one of the worst teams when it comes to end of game situations. Just look at the ALBA Berlin game at the beginning of the season. That set the tone for what we have now.

yup I don't believe an NBA team has won a ship after losing to a Euro team the same season tbqh

spurs have odds stacked against them. losing in the most humiliating way in the 1st game of the pre-season and expecting to win the last game of the NBA playoffs is gotta be near impossible feat.

it's like the spurs are trying to outdo game 6 of the 2013 finals every single night
