If it's a Bible issue then why are we giving it away to one set of non-believers instead of the other as opposed to taking that for our own err I mean for the church?

Are prosperity gospels a new trend going around? I know the mega church thing has been going on for a while, but I didn't know if it had morphed into something else. I guess it makes sense. First you get your marks in the house, then you bleed them dry.
Also, the three heavens? Are they stealing stuff from Morminism now?
There's deep connection between the 1%/VRWC/Repug political right and the Christian right.
If you have money, God loves you, you deserve to be insanely wealthy, by any means, because God wants you to be wealthy, and we right wingers will cut your taxes because God loves you. God talks to us.
If you don't have money, God doesn't love, wants you punished, you're bad, criminal, lazy, undeserving of public assistance which we right wingers are cutting to the bone because that's what God wants.
wow. Out of pure curiosity I went to that guys website and watched one of his videos. It was disturbing how political it was at times. I really don't think that has any place in a church.
He describes God's attributes or "praises God" a lot in order to get applause lines.
He also has very bad reading comprehension of the few Bible verses he read. And then he extrapolates from his misunderstanding of the english language. A cynical person would say he's just making things up.
He's also one of these end of the world lunatics. He writes tons of books about it and you can go back and find that fat piece of giving sermons in 2007 or 2008 about how the world was going to end in 5 years. So I always wonder this brainwashed family member is going to become a millionaire in the next 5 years.

Christian conservatives are a minority, but they have a disproportionate amount of power because their people are conformist and obedient, which means they are easy to both convince to vote and to get them to vote how you want them to.

if you're good, (work real hard for ty wages at BigCorp), God loves you and makes you rich (just wait for it and keep hing, suckers).
if you're bad, God won't reward you, you stay poor (and still work hard for ty wages).
If you're poor, it's because you're bad, so VRWC/Repugs/conservatives have every justification to cut the social safety net, raise you're taxes, steal you're retirement, exploit you in every possible way, hold you down, while enriching themselves. The rich are rich because God loves them.
