I mean, they almost won b2b rings only to get slapped by Horry in game 5, and TD in game 7. Next year they look good again, only to run on to Wade and the eventual champs and the year after that they got beaten by Lebron James alone. And then the last year of their core they were raped by a newly formed super team in the Celts. Wow

Dallas would have waxed that 06 Pistons team in the Finals and they went way downhill in 07 and 08.

On a decade dominated by 2 teams, they did well considering they didn't have a Superstar in their team.

    Those are not Superstars
I consider Chauncey and Sheed as at least borderline superstars. They had the either charisma(sheed) or leadership(chauncey) and balls(both literally and figuratively in the clutch.

This. Rasheed wasnt even a superstar in college and the heels are my 2nd fave college hoops squad.

this place is way to loose with superstar. By that criteria KL, Tony,Manu, Horry are superstars

Game 7 officiating was horrendous against the Pistons. Sheed, Ben Wallace, and McDyess each got in foul trouble in the early 3rd quarter. They never really had a chance.

Nah, you don't trade a superstar for a washed up Allen Iverson.

Saying Melo wasn't a superstar is about as much bull as saying Billups and Sheed were. He's like T-Mac. Just because he turned into a TOSB way earlier than expected, doesn't mean he wasn't a superstar at one point.

That term gets thrown around way too loosely. If we assume superstar is the highest tier then there should only be a handful of them. Probably only Bron, KD and AD atm with Curry, Harden and Russ a tier below them imo.

tmac had a good two years or so but did nothing in his career so he cannot be a superstar.

I guess they were unlucky, but they also weren't as good as any of those other teams. So the 1 ring was an accurate representation of how good they were.
