I totally underestimated the spurs motivation last game. Here's hoping they can focus on another blowout.
Spurs are going to continue what they started in Milwaukee. The NY loss is in the rear view mirror and SA is just now getting started.
Another ty starting lineup. Who are these guys?
Spurs beat them on paper and will beat them at home.
PF - Brandon Bass
C - Tyler Zeller
SF - Evan Turner
SG - Avery Bradley
PG - Marcus Smart

Cantthink is on a 1-0 winning streak game thread wise, let's go for two! Bill WE need the obligatory Melissa pic to christen this thread right.
I'm also putting $10 on the Spurs on the game line and $10 on the first quarter line...same as the other night. As long as the Spurs win the game, I'll continue the bets regardless if they lose money. My solemn oath to Spurstalk.
And they don't need to focus on a blowout. If they just focus on playing their game, the blowout will come.
I hope the Spurs take this seriously... after losing to New York, I don't know man... I just don't know. Please don't ruin my Friday night. lol

Discount them if you want, but the Celtics are 10-4 since late February with 3 of their losses being at home to GST, at CLE, and at OKC. They have some solid wins during this recent run of good play (over Utah, at New Orleans, over Memphis, and at Indiana) and are in a dogfight to get one of the last two seeds in the East playoffs.
I'm certainly not saying they'll win tonight, but they've been playing better lately and the Spurs are going to have to bring a good effort if they're going to get this one.
No way they lose because they need to prove that the NYC loss was an anomaly. They sure aren't going to go easy on the Celtics after the T'Wolves/Knicks game pair.
You can bet Pop is in their collective ear reminding them of that. (which by the way was the first time in NBA history that a sub .200 team beat a defending champion this far into the season.)
Everyone needs to quit spending time on Durant, March Madness, work, etc. And start sending that energy to the Spurs for the game tonight.
Spurs need to look ahead at the remaining March schedule and they should find plenty of motivation to get a win tonight.
Damn. I was pulled off task there. Gotta keep the eyes on the prize. Got the Spurs -9 for the game and -3 for the 1st quarter. But I'll trade all those riches for a simple W.

Yeah like FWD said, the Celtics have been a much better team as of late. Considering the Spurs like taking off games too, this could be a loss. The Spurs better be awake.
I'm confident that the Spurs will have their recent letdown fresh in their minds as they toy with the Celtics. Much like a tiger who has just had some good kills followed by a missed kill and then followed by another good kill. He will toy with his new prey before eating it also.
Today's my birthday, and all I want is a blowout win, tbh.. No stress needed on this celebratory day
