Stockton was as gifted offensively as Nash and a of a lot better defender. Nash was a major liability on D even when young.
Well he did unleash the broom on them Spurs that year you won your 5th. Appreciate him

Curry, CP3, Lillard etc has great passing skills.
But Nash's passing is the most entertaining and unexpected.
It may have been 4-1 but they pushed us every game. Couple of those games classics.
Nashs contributions to downfall/expose of got Laker is worthy of![]()
He didn't go out well so I wouldn't be surprised to see him come back late next season if his body agrees, it wouldn't be the first time a player announces retirement and has a change of heart. I think he will stay retired because he doesn't care how it ended, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he get's that itch and signs with a contender.
He got his revenge on the Spurs in that series. Even with the black eye. I also think if he hadn't flopped so bad in '07 his teammates wouldn't have been suspended and they would have had a better chance against the Spurs.
Yea I considered putting Stockton at the 1. They're pretty much interchangeable to me. I just went with Nash cause he was more my era. Can't go wrong either way.
I don't even want to think about it.
They said Nash was in tears when his Suns team finally beat a terrible 6th seeded Spurs team in 2010, lol, his career dominated by one team. Spurs killed the run n gun suns and Miami.
Twice even.
tee, hee.
^Give it to Cubes, he knew Nash could not get him there and just let him drift away in silence.
We get it done in 06 with Nas
He actually retired 2 years ago. Just now calling in.
You get it done in 06 if the refs dont screw you
Only pussies & assholes blame the officiating.
Dampier and Harris ting their pants down the stretch didn't help
It was a bad time for everybody...I had no idea Daddy was harboring such a numerical grudge against Kobe. The SOB. Talkin' about tasting ass & lording it over him. The SOB. It took Kobe 4 years to run that fat to ground, but, he got 'er done.
But it's ok to blame the media, an en y that has no effect on the outcome of the game.
And now he's there beside him in that ground, Tim standing over them, shovel in hand.
Exactly.
& Amy next to Tim with the 1st 5th.
tee, hee.
But he got some pretty good revenge. Sweeping the Spurs. The Spurs were never able to sweep his teams. I think that 2010 series was lost when Pop decided to keep starting George Hill and Hill was abused by Nash at the start of game 1.
Yeah, thats not good revenge, we killed their team him in 03 with the Mavs in the WCF, in 05 with Suns in the WCF, 07 in the defacto NBA Finals with the best Suns team to ever play (all en route to a le), and then again in 08 with a Tim Duncan 3 pointer. And what does he have to show for it, a second round defeat of the spurs against their second worst team of the era en route to a 6 game defeat in the WCF. He got owned and his revenge was pretty much meaningless.
