It's a shame he missed so many games...I really think he'd be DPOTY if he was healthy all year

(Though this link isn't working. It's the Leonard to Tiago crosscourt pass)

Yes...good read. The game 6 block on Westbrook will go down in Spurs lore along with the Memorial Day Miracle!
Everything about the play was just perfect, right down to the camerman catching the perfect angle. No body contact, no slight hit on the arm and no complaint from Westbrook or the OkC fans. Just a nice clean block...greatness!

But, but, he doesn't dribble the air out of the ball for 23 seconds and then chuck up a brick. That means he's a scrub!

    Good article, great player.

About three more of these articles from national sources putting Kawhi in the DPOY contention ought to cement it. It's close man, i can feel it. I almost think his injury will help him win now because he can beast down the stretch and is the new kid with the freshest highlights in a close field.

that article trying to pin the duncan boring narrative -he used understated- onto Leonard.

If that block/strip on that drive seemed 'understated' then you are out of touch. That was one of the more exciting plays of the playoffs. I was out of my seat laughing at the freeze frame of the look on RWB's face.

The problem here is that the national media types don't know how to write or don't want to write about the Spurs and the local press cannot keep really good talent from leaving. I don't mind Harvey overly but the Spurs really miss John Ludden on their beat writing stories.

It's ing easy pickings. You could just as easily talk about how Kawhi brought the alley oop back to the Spurs who used to never do it or how he is a master at turning defense into offense. How the Spurs are revolutionizing how basketball is being coached and taught across the country -McDonald is such a tool- or any other narrative that isn't 'Spurs are boring.'

I lol'd several times at the ridiculousness of those clips. If that article doesn't make you appreciate this dude's contribution to the team's success you're not a true Spurs fan.

A perimeter player is due for the award. If not this year then probably next year where Kawhi can have a full season and breakout year.

If the spurs can steal third seed. Kawhi will win it.
