I believe it will change the series around, and have a greater impact on our team defensively. I don't doubt Kawhi as a defender, but I feel he'd be better on Carter rather than Ellis. We know already that Green is the better option at guarding quick PG's. So why not try it?

Yeah, we need someone biting on every shot fake. Nothing like a flying Danny Green to get the game going in our favor.

2 is better than 3, and that's besides the point. Green is able to stay in front of quick guards, something Kawhi has trouble with.

Would rather start Manu for Green and put Green on Harris. They're starting two terrible defenders in Monta and Calderon, but we can't exploit that if Green and Kawhi are gonna be zeroes on offense. Plus it is clear Harris will go for 20 a game if we leave Mills on him.

To add to this, Green's breakout game iirc was against Ellis when he was still with GSW two seasons ago.

Leonard can guard Ellis but his strength is wasted on him. Put Leonard on Marion so he can do what he does best. And that's help defense and disrupt passing lanes. Not that Leonard can ignore Marion as he is capable of going off some nights but Leonard can recover quickly too. By having Leonard glued to Ellis you're handcuffing him so to speak.

Your right. When leonard is able to play passing lanes our defense is so good. It makes whoever has the ball timid to make a pass cause they know Kawhi is adept at making those steals. It opens up our offense and our defense. Something we have yet to see this series.

Kawhi does struggle with guards. I agree with this thread.

Monta Ellis does whatever he wants to Leonard. Why is Danny not on him is a great question. It also sucks that Parker needs to play defense cause he can't defend .

Anyone agree now? I saw it for a possession and it took the ball out of Ellis' hand

This makes sense, Green is much better on guards than Kawhi

It doesn't really matter who guards him, they aren't running isolation plays..

They're running him with screens every play, he either takes the mid-range J, the 3 or blindly drives in an attempt to draw a foul, tbh..Ellis is an erratic player, he's nothing special, he guards himself better than any opponent can defend him..
