I didn't see him listed on any of the heat sheets for Texas Relays, unless he's running in a relay.
Good sign if it's strictly a football visit.![]()
Everybody's favorite RB Kam Martin is a "possible" visitor for saturdays practice, per 24/7.

Per 24/7, QB Tristen Wallace of DeSoto will be visiting Ohio State this week.
Update on DT Jordan Elliott of Houston Westside (24/7):
“I really like coach Brick Haley. He was at LSU, and I think he’s a great defensive line coach. He’s an awesome guy,” Elliott said. “I think with him, their defense is going to be even better next year. We have a really good relationship, and we’ve had some good conversations."
“I talk to coach (Charlie) Strong every now and then. I think he’s a great coach too. He’s really building a solid program.”
“I’m definitely going to make a visit to Texas. I don’t have anything set right now, but I really want to see the campus and meet the coaching staff,” Elliott said. “I’m committed to Baylor, but I do want to experience other schools. I don’t want to be close minded about this process because you only get to experience it one time.”
24/7 saying they believe DE/LB Rahssan Thornton of Killeen Shoemaker is close to receiving a Texas offer:

Also from 24/7, WR Devin Duvernay does not have plans to stop by the football offices this week while in town for Texas Relays.
RB Devwah Whaley of Beaumont Central is another guy to keep in mind this week, but no word on him yet.

I'm really impressed with this years passrushers. There are a ton of guys that I like. The main guys Fowler, Jackson and McCulloch (I can see him at both OLB and the Fox position) are extremely impressive and guys that I would consider "takes", no matter what. Outside of those, I like Thornton and Brandon Bowen a lot. Then you have the SDE's Isaiah Chambers, Madubuike and Johnnie Williams (who might be a DT in college) that are intriguing as well.
The overall depth at DL this year is ridiculous. I wonder how many Texas will take? I'm having a hard time figuring out the size of the 2016 class. I count 15 seniors, but the pay sites expects around 20 commits, but the numbers we are hearing from recruits are higher.
-Yep, that's one of the things I'm most interested in for 2016. I want to see how many guys they take who are capable of playing that Fox position. We may see DE/LB Alton Robinson offered too, so it's difficult to tell right now where the numbers are going to be allocated if there isn't a lot of wiggle room with the roster.
-You're correct on 15 seniors. If Merrick comes in this summer you'll have 85 total, but that's assuming all of the 2015 guys qualify and enroll. So, the coaches would need to see 8 guys walk for this class to end up at 22 or 23. My guess is Strong will sit down with a handful of guys after spring practice and let them know where things stand. If you bust out the roster, it's easy to see a few names that won't be getting playing time, are too injured or aren't putting in work.
DT Du'Vonta Lampkin says TE Devonaire Clarington will be in town too:
Per 24/7, 2017 QB Kellen Mond of San Antonio Reagan was at UT's practice today:

swoopes is finally in the right offense ............ swoopes in spread =Swoopes is really different, in a good way, than he was last spring. Light years different. #Texas #1stPracticeNoPads.............. swoopes has proven he can pass (multiple hot starts passing 8)............swoopes will quiet the haters ...............
I certainly hope so. He did throw good balls from time to time last season, but I lost all faith in him after the bowl game. In his defense, our O-line was not good and the playcalling for him was bad too.
RB Devwah Whaley tells 24/7 he'll "most likely" visit with the coaches this weekend while at Texas Relays.
OB says they Strong has him practicing in the Fox position which is a perfect position for him given his pass rushing abilities.
Harbaugh and Michigan may be starting a new recruiting trend:
