I already sent a PM to Harlem to check it out tbh
well when you disagree it seems the last trendy stuff to do according to the top tier elite posters is to use antiquated and mainstream... I'm just trying to keep up to not be taxed of being antiquated and mainstream
I already sent a PM to Harlem to check it out tbh
While this is mostly true, people are just done with the dude. Outside of two shots, he's never done anything meaningful in his 7+ years. He's eaten up a usable roster spot and salary year after year with nothing to show for it, yet for some reason, pop just won't cut this dude.
Most are just at the point that sight of him checking into a game makes you want to change the channel, like an old girlfriend that while very nice, was just annoying as and you just want to avoid at all cost.
Haha, people would rather cut bonner for more project players like Ayers, daye, or Reggie. I mean the bonner alternatives have been daye, Steve Novak, croshere, and tolliver etc. I know he sucks this year but I'd rather roll the dice on old bon than roll the dice that some scrub can bring basic defense and outside shooting.
We have plenty of young talent. Next year we can roll the dive again but I don't see any D league talent clearly better than bonner.
Maybe ka
This is going the year he finally shoots well in the playoffs.
, but seriously I really hope so. I'm want him to have his moment.
I don't want him anywhere near the floor in the playoffs unless it is situational or a blowout! We have seen in the past what he does when he gets time in the playoffs and it is not pretty and detrimental to the team if Pop starts overusing him. If he hits a shot or two POP might go mad and start playing him alot more, you know Pop.
I hope he hits a timely shot, somehow I doubt it though![]()
The official "I hate Bonner fan club"???
Sign me up....
Do I send my dues to ElNono?
We get funded by the Fabbs Foundation For A Better Future... so no dues are necessary, I just sent our welcoming package on the mail, tbh.
I understand he is a nice guy and everything but what I cant deduce how the is he a valuable player to Pop, Bon never was a RS savior or even a reliable player so how is he playing here yet?
He was ok as an asset when Horry was running the show, but after that I DONT KNOW! WHAT IS REALLY REAL?
Why would I hate a Spurs player? I'm a Spurs fan.
Go Spurs!![]()
You would want him to do well naturally but if he is hurting the team when he is out there why would you like him? Honestly. He has done some of that as well when his shot is not falling, which is most of the year this year or the playoffs overall.
I love the Spurs yes, just wish some were not on the team. If they are playing yeah I want their shots to fall and them to do well, but Bonner has not been that great here IMO and he still gets some PTAyres is another one I don't favor, but I don't wish him to fail either if he is out on the floor.
tbh, if you didn't hate Richard Jefferson or Hedo in the playoffs when they were with the Spurs, you're not drinking enough, Bill...
A little hate can be good, going to bed after praying while holding a knife and crying... thats very bad.
i'd easily take Bonner over those two clowns. I like Bonner, at least more now that he's used sparingly. Sorry they didn't have an Argie in his spot though, maybe next time...
Hopefully the Red Mamba doesn't hear this blasphemy and decide to open a king-size can of whoop ass on The Double No! Talk about spreading the floor! This could get ugly like his rebounding!![]()
Okay, I'll go on a bender this weekend and see if the hate begins to flow....
As for Bonner, he's the 4th or 5th Big. Timmy, Tiago, Boris and now maybe Baynes (when healthy) are ahead of him. Look around the league, as 4th or 5th bigs go he's pretty effective and because he's a specialist in 3 point shooting he has his situational uses. Pop started him in key games in the Conference Finals last year to draw Ibaka away from the basket. The degree it worked is debatable but any 4th or 5th big that can be called upon to affect a playoff series, isn't all bad. And Bonner is on a cheap contract, a good value for the money for a veteran. By no means is hurting our cap situation (like RJ did), And he seems like a of a nice guy off the court, with a self-depreciating sense humor that makes him a good interview. Adding it up, it's kind of hard for me to hate a guy like that.
I try and save my hate for the enemy like Mark Cuban or the remains of Kobe Bryant. (Though I admit, RJ, used to piss me off no end. Happy I can root against him now!).

I agree to a certain point, but Pop has to give them playing time to see how effective they can be. Bonner, despite his limitations, knows his rotations and has lead the league in 3 point shooting in the past, so it is worth seeing how he'll perform in spurts. Again, he's the 4th or 5th big. He has to be played some, if for no other reason than to spell those ahead of him.
Ayres, well, he's the 6th big on the team. No one should really expect anything out of that slot. The only big negative is he's being paid too much to be the bottom of the big totem pole.
using the terms hate is silly and stupid to be serious two minutes
I don't see why anybody would "hate" RJ, Hedo or Bonner... You don't like the players, you hate watching them play for the Spurs but would you hate the person ?
Already stated I don't hate the person, I hate the NBA player. Though I must admit, through the years, Bonner is far and away the biggest recipient of insults hurled at the TV...
