Article says Gregg Marshall has told Alabama he's not interested, wants Texas.
Seen others say Shaka Smart wants the call as well.

24/7 saying OL Riley Anderson and OL Austin Anderson of Mineola were back on campus today.
Very telling how he discusses Baylor with no real emotion and once the topic turns to Texas his entire demeanor becomes giddy. Shouldn't have come to this but I hope Horns can get the steal.
DT Taylor from Bama arrested again.
This is the guy that Saint Nicky said derserved a SECOND chance.
Nick can't count. I really can't believe we pursued this lout of a human as a coach.
can't stand this lyin sob... second chance my ass.
Wow. A thought...
Maybe Taylor was trying to garner interest from the Cowboys draft, Jerry likes these hose heads. Taylor will have to wait a year, but this is certainly a quality we look for in our fine young men, certainly...
OrangeBloods saying CB Sheroid Evans went down with another knee injury yesterday.
The severity of the injury is unknown at this point.
Two notes from 24/7...
-DE Mark Jackson of Cibolo Steele was unable to make practice this weekend.
-ATH Christian Wallace is reportedly transferring back to Sealy.
2017 QB Shawn Robinson of Denton Guyer told OrangeBloods he'll be on campus this week.
Myles Turner has decided to enter the NBA Draft.
DT Jordan Elliott from Houston Westside recaps his unofficial visit to Texas (24/7):
“The fact that I got to see how the coaches coach and how they practice makes me like Texas even more,” Elliott said. “The staff told me that they really need me and that they want to help me get prepared for the next level. Coach (Brick) Haley has done a great job of getting defensive linemen to the NFL. That’s impressive.”
“I loved it,” Elliott said. "It was really intense out there. The coaches were really cool, and Coach Haley did a great job coaching the defensive line. He’s getting them ready to succeed at Texas and at the next level. I really enjoyed it.”
Update on OL Austin Anderson and OL Riley Anderson of Mineola (24/7):
“It was fun watching coach Wickline,” Riley said. “He’s a really intense coach. I like his style. He’s very hands on. He’s a great coach. That’s apparent by just watching that one practice."
“I liked the intensity and everything that they do," Austin added. "I like how hard they work. We talk to coach Wickline quite a bit. We have some good conversations and have a lot of fun. I like how he coaches and how he’s straight up.”
“They would be up there (if they offered),” Riley said. “I like it here. The facilities are amazing, and the campus is great. I love the coaching staff, and it’s just a good atmosphere. I hope I’m close to an offer. We just have to see how things progress.”
A&M's 24/7 site made a top 75 in Texas for 2017. I don't know if you guys can see it, if not, let me know and I'll copy the list.

Good stuff.
I see Roach's brother on there. Supposedly had a good showing at the Rivals camp.
Heard about Kieston Roach about the time Kerwin committed to Texas. Hadn't been able to find his tape untill today. It's pretty good. Him and Taylor Perry are probably the two best CB's I've seeb in-State for 2017, I haven't seen many though.
Prestan Ebner is a guy I really like amongst the lower rated guys.

One of the insiders, if not the only one, at Texas' 24/7 says Shaka Smart will be the next basketball coach at Texas. He was the first to call Charlie Strong and Bedford a year ago.
EDIT: Nevermind. The guy has mixed reviews about his track record. I just remember him being right about Strong/Bedford before anyone really got their names.

Quote from TE Donte Coleman of West Mesquite (24/7):
“What stands out to Texas for me is its history,” Coleman said. “They have championships. They have tradition. I have family ties there. My cousin played there. I want to get his thoughts on Texas too. But I just love their tradition.”
@BDavisAAS: CBS Sports is saying that Shaka Smart is in discussions with Texas. But several current Texas players are now following Mark Jackson.
Mark Jackson? Wowa, that would be interesting. I wonder if he is lobbying the players to support him.![]()
