I never understood the out of state allegiances that you grew up with. I'm a pistons, tigers, lions, red wings and spartan fan. No matter where I live I always will be. No matter how bad it gets.
I picked my teams based on who I could see on Television. Duke football, FSU basketball. The only way to see these teams was attend game. Braves had TBS. Niners and Bulls were constantly on TV
I'm not gonna change decade long allegiances because Duke got good in football or because of changes in media

I'm from Mississippi....we have no pro teams. We all can pick and choose who we want. However, most people here are Saints fans, Miss. St. fans or Ole Miss fans.
I was big fan of UNC with Hansbrough, Lawson, Green and Elington, so I stayed like this. But I do like this Winslow guy. Dude is a stud.
I moved to San Diego and started liking the teams I saw on television - 1990. [This is before team channels, streaming games online and long before 24 hour sports networks]. I have liked these same teams no matter how bad it got. My allegiances might have turned out different if I had started following sports at a later age. At that age [2nd grade], the kids that even watched sports were hand me down fans from their families. My family has never been into Sports, the only athletics we've watched together is Poland in Soccer and Olympics. I'm guessing your parents if not uncles/aunts etc like those same teams?
People didn't watch College Sports in San Diego until the early 2000's when Trojans started winning. I had already been watching the Miami/UF rivalries for 10 years. As it turns out 2 of my close friends to this day, that i've known since Elementary/Middle School are also FSU fans. I attended the last 2 Rose Bowls with one of them. They like the Seminoles because it was their Pop Warner football team name.
Unlike Michigan, there is no sports culture in San Diego. It's a city of transplants. Even take a city like San Francisco. Divided between 2 basketball, 2 baseball and 2 football teams. Michigan is unified, against Ohio. "Ya I like the Chargers/Padres but my family is from X". Is really common out here.
You're a ing got dude.
Krzyzewski is one of the most well known Polish-Americans
That. 09 team was ridiculous. And the 05 team with May, McCants and Felton
Shut the up kid
And you're probably the one got in the world who gives a about being Polish. And really nobody is 100% anything either way. We're all a bunch of mutts at this point. If you aren't then you're probably inbred. So unless you're born there(we know your dumbass wasnt), its a pretty gay point of pride. Like how boring is your ass that that's what you're proud of?
Take your fingers off your sensitive pussy.
- I was born in Poland
- I've visited every 4 years of my life since
- my last name has SKI ending
- I share the distinct Cro Magnon - Polish look even Ash Blonde hair
- I am fluent in Polish
Sucks you probably don't know your ancestry but it's never too late to discover who you are. I personally come from Vistula people.
damn that's a rough group to be a fan of
Actual Polish people aren't even proud of being Polish nowadays, they can't wait to illegally immigrate to other countries like the UK to work ty plumbing and construction jobs![]()
Polish people do all the difficult work lazy fcks here 'are too good for' anyway. Those lazy fcks are the same ones who hate immigrants for 'taking their jobs'. Polska's are some good people.
"Coach K called a team meeting the night before the game. We go into Cameron Indoor and all the lights are off.
Then the spotlight shines on the Final Four banners and Coach says "Hey guys, I'm just an old Polish coach looking for a little team with heart to get one of these banners"
We went crazy and won by 30 the next day"
- Battier
I ing hated Battier and their whole team when they had that team. Dunleavey, Jay Williams and Chris Duhon
Only team that could seriously challenge Laettner's teams
Got some 'shine made from coal ash water and your relative-romantic interest ready to take out back and celebrate?
No celebrating until Monday night.![]()
I'm gonna celebrate Wisconsins win both today and Monday.
Michigan St. came out hot early.....needless to say Duke has answered. Up 17 now...
