You can't make this up, I'm driving back from work today and I see these signs all over the freeway. Recently got a letter asking all the residents to please reduce water usage as they anticipate a huge shortage for years to come. They are also restricting you from watering your lawn now to a minimal amount.

the old gots who live in rich estates want to water their lawns to keep the value price of their properties up, while everyone had to minimize water usage, even washing the car wash with a 1 bucket only...
then the state wasted 3b building a desalination plant, till this day its not even fkn turn on and costsing taxpayers 1m a day being inactive....

Texas is just solvent enough to get through session with a patina of a tax cut. Unless they tackle school funding then we're broke.
Texas has obvious water problems too. We are not in dire drought but our long term drought prognosis isn't much better.
