Combined 11 les (UNC 5, Duke 4, NCSU 2 with another year with a perfect season). You know basketball has been around longer than 15 years. The triangle also has three of the best coaches in history.

What an awful finish to an otherwise solid game. Refs just took over and made bad call after bad call against both teams, but mainly in Kentucky's favor.
And for all of the talk about this #44 guy from Wisconsin, I'm not that impressed. He just kind of floated around on the perimeter not doing much of anything other than calling for the ball 20 feet away from the basket. He has solid footwork and fundamentals though, which is more than you can say for most college players nowadays.
Overall, Wisconsin deserved the W. They're the more complete team, and did the right things down the stretch.
Also, I'll never understand why teams run isolations 30ft away from the basket. Easily the stupidest and tiest strategy possible.

Nobody in the country gives a about NC State basketball. Nobody. When Duke and UNC play ESPN does a special a week prior to the game. And every single day we are reminded to watch the "Greatest Rivalry in College Basketball". When NC State plays any team......nobody could care less.
Again, not saying that 2 NCs and a perfect season is not a uva accomplishment. I wish my school had even a 1/10 of that success. I'm just saying that you are not on the same level as Duke and UNC. Not even the same stratosphere.

You are too focused on that rivalry to realize that's what made them a popular on ESPN. They played some of the greatest games ever, even when they ducked. Just because they have a great rivalry doesn't diminish State. At all.
The fact that Dook and UNC have the far superior programs is what diminishes NC State.
