To me really it came down to Kiwi impacting the game on defense and the Dubs not making their usual shots. They shot less than 40% which is godawful and a handful of them were forced shots (yes, looking at you Klay)
I've been pointing out games where Klay has shot like ... it's not that uncommon. Dubs can survive because their defense and transition offense gives them many opportunities, but I thought Danny and Kawhi completely shut Klay down. And we scored at will. If you were watching that game, which team looked like they had the best defense in the league?

Not the team which was giving up 57 first half points...

We all knew that Klay was the easier one to stop because he doesn't have mad handles but he ing sucked tonight.

And the entire game, Kiwi looked like was the one who was an All-star this year and not Klay. But then again Kiwi was too injured in the first half of the season.

no, GS has the best defense in the league and the best offense too. Spurs looked dominant tonight, but it's still just a ing regular season game against a team that has already locked up the #1 seed.

I can't understand why people like Noah. No offensive game, not a big game player, acts like he's the ing 3x defending champion. That was fine when he had Horford carrying his ass and was going against the Lorenzo Matas of the world, but Noah now.

Noah to the Clippers would be a solid fit. He's a good basketball player but he is also a Class-A . It would create the most annoyingly en led team in NBA history. You have two of the biggest es in NBA history -- Griffin and Paul, teaming up with another en led in Joakim Noah.

Basketball-wise I think it would also make sense too, should Jordan cash in on his career year.

But man seeing how that team would completely got it up -- Griffin, Paul, Barnes and Noah -- it's a very interesting thought.

Man Barnes has become such a in the NBA. Sad, because he, Baron, and Earl were the only Bruins of the Lavin era to do in the show.

I've been saying it since the ASB: the Dubs' defense has regressed immensely and their offense is still predicated on Curry and Thompson chucking in threes. Yes they're much deeper than last year and the year before and Kerr is a massive coaching improvement, but their team is still flawed. It'll take another year or two for Curry/Thompson to develop the discipline needed to win it all.

Steph and Klay can be likened to two people who have suddenly been blessed with superpowers and while they are putting it to good use, they are having a hard time controlling it against tough adversaries.

That responsibility ultimately falls on Kerr's lap and I think for the most part he has been doing a superb job at it. Everyone around them is significantly better than last year. Even Barbosa's dying career has been given a shot in the arm because of Steph and Klay.

But that's not even enough because the real deal starts in two weeks. He needs to ensure that his star duo's newly-acquired superpowers won't be their undoing in the playoffs.
